I'll be seeing Jupiter soon. Hey i've been listening to a couple of albums today that aren't necessarily Krautrock but in the area code. THIRSTY MOON's "You'll Never Come Back" and SWEET SMOKE's "Just A Poke" both jazzy but with that Krautrock spirit under the surface. |

I really love those 3 albums - I count in the live album I reviewed as well, because it´s one of those gems with all new material, - and I agree - they are quite the team I find it particularly funny, that a thing like the rhythm box, which back then was very one-dimensional and well what we today´d call kitschy - work so well within the music. Just like Journey by Arthur Brown´s Kingdom Come actually. As a drummer though, I´m always delighted to hear Mani play as he is one of the most original sounding percussionists BTW I´ve been listening to the live Gila record John Just got back from space... Jupiter says hello |

Sorry to be talking so much but Bamsen i saw your review of HARMONIA's live album and enjoyed it so re-visited their "Deluxe" album which was their final studio record and had to bump it up to 4 stars.I can hear why this is listed under Electronic but it's cool to have Mani from GURU GURU play on some tracks. That's a fun album to listen to.The two CLUSTER dudes plus Rother from NEU! make such a good team.

^Ok - thanks for clearing that up
I´m listening to Faust´s Ravvivando for the first time in a long time, and now I´m wondering whether all their "new" albums are this good. Anybody out there who´s got some of the new releases? I spoke to Colin(Triceratopsoil) a while back, and he mentioned the new Something Dirty as a real humdinger. I am getting really curious about the new stuff!! As this clip clearly shows, they are still on to something - droning, noisy, serene, industrial and soaring, but it´s Faust as I know them, and now I want even more music: What´s not to like? |

Sorry, Yes 'The Dogs Bollocks' is a very good thing. But not based on how good they are deep fried!

Is that a good thing? My friend had him some dog when he went to Vietnam a couple of years back, and he told me the bollocks were quite juicy... |

I love those early Cluster albums too!! Especially the first one tickles my fancy like a squirrel up my trousers. If anybody´s interested in an ambient and slightly more mellow album by them, I highly recommend Sowiesoso from 76, which I absolutely adore
On another note, Danish band PAPIR (which are featured here on PA in psych/space rock) have now found themselves a record deal, and I urge you guys to have a listen. I just reviewed their second album Stundum, and it is a pure joy from start to finish. Krautrock methinks... Here´s a small snippet of them playing live in Denmark: If you like it - there´s some other vids of them taken from the same concert on YouTube. |

I dig 'em. I prefer the debut now, though I've known Cluster II longer. I'm also pretty interested in what I've heard from Kluster, and I see there's a box set available for a reasonable price with their two studio albums and Kluster/Eruption, so I'll probably grab myself a copy of that at some point. |
