You mean Unrest? I just checked them both out...neither of the total times for the original or the remastered edition has been added up correctly. Edit: I've fixed the running times for both (and the titles for the first and last track on the remastered edition) and now they're much closer, within reason. Hope M@X will find a solution.
Anyway duplications by definition conflict with accurate ratings' calculation.

He's aware of the problem, it has to do with re-configuring ratings. We had the ability to move reviews in the past, but there was a conflict with the ratings system. |

I've sent PM to M@X and asked him to think whether it's possible to implement "Move reviews and ratings" feature.

I remember this issue from at least a year back, messy.. to be honest I wouldn't mind sacrificing my remastered Unrest review if it came to that

^ yeah I saw it the first time. We can't move reviews is the biggest problem here. Also, I don't know these albums well enough to decide if these mixes are significantly different. I noticed the second album you listed has 17 more minutes of music, that seems like a lot.
Still, the biggest problem is not being able to move the reviews. All the same, maybe someone else will have a better idea. |

O great masters of the duplicated entries removal! I have something fun for you...actually, three somethings fun!
The band: Henry Cow The suspect albums: Legend http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=3058 and Legend (Original Mix) http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=3064 Unrest http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=3059 and Unrest (remastered) http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=3063 Western Culture http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=3061 and Western Culture (Remastered) http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=3062 The tricky bits: each duplicate entry has several reviews/ratings. Some of these reviews/ratings are by the same people who reviewed/rated the original entries (and in the case of Unrest, the reviewer simply copied his review over to the remastered version). Would it be possible to combine each of these doubles into a single entry for each album? It bugs me to see these unnecessary duplicates, I confess. |

Thanks for noticing this . It's a mystery for me too. Easy Money, please delete this single: http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=18431. I'll add it once again.

We wish to express our gratitude for having worked for my report. I was not well versed for the mechanism of the work that the team did.
Anyway, we wish to express our gratitude.
By the way, Online Shop of "The Habibiyya" can be seen to be displayed in the part in the middle of this Link.
There are still a lot of parts of the mystery for me.

I told you, it's a headache . I remember, it's always a problem when both duplicated albums have reviews and ratings.
Perhaps other admins know how to move reviews from one album to another. If they don't, it's worth to ask M@X to implement "Move reviews and ratings" feature (of course available to admins only). In case of Kazu's post - it seems I was quicker, excessive album turned to a STERN-COMBO MEISSEN single: http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=18431. Simple trick.

not a proghead - I just checked, I don't think there is a way for me to edit the album number on reviews.
edit: By the way, I almost deleted the album that the double's number defaulted to (Kazu's post), you were just ahead of me, I noticed the name wasn't right, close call, ha ha. Edited by Easy Money - July 22 2010 at 21:02 |
