Jane's Addiction normally isn't prog, but they CAN be. Examples: Ted, Just Admit It..., Three Days, Summertime Rolls, etc. Besides, their song "Ocean Size" inspired the name of another band on this site.

Faith No More, especially the Angel Dust album. Plus, Mike Patton leads Mr. Bungle and Fantomas, two of the biggest and best avant-garde prog bands.

Sometimes I think PA forgot some artists that are related to prog.
Like Joy Division. The English post-punk that Ian Curtis used to lead (30 years of dead, RIP Curtis), has some prog traces, like atmospheric keys, and singular bass lines. And the funeral vocals that influenced Anekdoten.
Bill Frisell is not there too. He played Clarinet before going to his guitar career, so the wind influence in his music is very marking. Highlights on "Where in the World?", released on 1991, features a load of guitar effects.
