I'm quite irresistibly attracted to black women, who have naturally big lips 'the size of a frog' as you described. I don't find my ex-girlfriend 'vulgar' at all. Disapprove

Not that I support a woman using fakery to change her natural appearance, but still. And on everything else you said about Fox, I do agree with you. I haven't found the woman attractive for years.

Women with natural big lips are beautiful. But they never, ever look the same as those fake lips many women carry around today... like Fox's... I love big lips. But lips made of real stuff... not of some gel... Tongue

Thank you for clarifying. Wink

I return to my hole . . .

Never heard her, but the first song I looked up had auto-tune. I don't get why it's so socially acceptable for people who don't usually admit to liking pop to like her. I mean I've got plenty of metal head friends who own her record. Sounds like the typical stuff you'd find on the radio. Personally I like catchy music as much as I like complex music, but this does nothing for me. And as for the argument about her writing her own stuff, well it's obvious this stuff is heavily produced. Thing is that's nothing new, but it's certainly no "Thriller" if you ask me.

Just my two cents.

why? because there are non-musical sounds (telephones)? Well, these were brought into music by futurists, into popular music by Pink Floyd, but nowadays they are common, and there's nothing floydish here.

I would also like to point out the fact that lady gaga didn't brought anything new to music. Why? Hmm, lets just watch the music video by Gwen Stefani, from 2004 (there's also 7 minute long version of this song, here goes gaga's innovation in that matter either):

as you can hear it's exactly the same thing, except it's better. The music and the costumes. The one thing that differs here is imagination and originality. Check also Gwen's later song "Hollaback Girl" then you'll know where Gaga's semi-raping verses came from.

Now gaga is posing to be so innovative and people are buying it. Why? Because pop listeners are just too ignorant and lazy to look 4 years in the past. Everything is so new for them :D Maybe we should envy their short memory, for us is just same old same old :)

"Ffffaaahhh, seeko baaaaaa
Neeeeee toe, kare lo yeahhh
Sa sa sa sa saa! Fssss
Drrrrrrrrr bo ki!
Rapateeka! do go taaaam
Rapateeka! do go tchaa"

I like Lady G as she is funky, edgy, unique, and so is her music - quite of the future! .. I like her lots. And people should sop saying she is trying to be like Christina Aguilera purely because they don't like Lady Gaga and Christina appears to be the 'good excuse' for that.. I feel she brings something dynamic and fresh to music, and she totally rocks!

Ultimately, there is but one reason so many people on the intertubes are so fascinated with her:

God help me, but.....

WANT. TO TOUCH. THE HINEY.

Gaga takes herself seriously because unlike 95% of other pop stars, she participates in the writing of and execution of her shows and music. That it's not that different isn't the point, the point is she creates.

As for the lady in your avatar, Bjork is an immense talent, who has never used her sexuality to sell records
Have you seen the video for Pagan Poetry....?

That was really meant to be shocking and provocative rather than sexually tiltilating. Personally I'm not that bothered by a women showing her areola for a few brief moments, I'm more offended by the pretty raunchy stuff that's marketed towards preteens these days.

Oh wait, were you talking about the breasts or that other thing the video was controversial for? Wink

Well yeah, I never said Bjork wasn't a dirty little girl, but it's a different kind of dirty.
And Lady Gaga isn't trying to be shocking and provocative? I'm not saying there's not a difference between the video for Pagan Poetry and Bad Romance, but I've seen Bjork's nipples (and fake nipples!) and the best I've gotten from Lady Gaga is a little ass crack, and I think that's worth noting, as I find it hard to believe attention and record sales did not influence Bjork's choice.

I'm not really saying anything negative about Gaga really. They are just assumptions and nothing more, I've said before that I admire that she chooses to get attention in a more creative way than just dressing like a slut.

I won't deny that Bjork probably has done things to garner publicity for her records, but if all she really wanted was to sell records, she wouldn't be making the kinda music she does, and her music wouldn't have evolved much from the kinda thing she was doing when she was 11.

The big difference from Bjork is that in the end of the day, despite how "arty" Lady Gaga wants to be in her way of presentation, she still makes pop music that is accessible enough for 8 year olds, while Bjork does not. Not that there's anything wrong with making accessible pop music, not at all. But I can understand why people find Lady Gaga pretentious, of course people find Bjork pretentious too, and prog rock.

But the controversy with Gaga is, she seems to take herself very seriously as an artist when her music isn't THAT different from what you hear on the radio all the time. Kinda like how Kanye West thinks he's a genius when he's not really doing anything revolutionary or challenging, unless making autotune sound as annoying as possible counts.

I totally agree.  Yoko is not a good singer but she has never sold herself as a vocalist. She is an artist. The world is chockablock of people who go on and on about how bad Yoko's music is but upon inspection, have not actually listened to one of her albums. The whole thing is over resentment over how she may have encouraged John to give up on The Beatles. But that's silly too because if you know the history, it was actually George who split first.
