Some female progsters not yet mentioned

  • Lindsay Cooper (Henry Cow)
  • Georgie Born (Henry Cow)
  • Stella Vander (Magma)
  • Barbara Thompson (Married to John Hiseman of Colosseum fame, leader of Paraphenalia)

If we're talking in terms of looks as well, Bjork and Kate Bush both do it for me.

She's progressive allright, maybe not rock, but she has the progressive attitude. Bjork's my nr. 1 too.

That's interesting, Peter. Can you remember what you talked about?

It seems that female singer-songwriters prefer to have a solo career than to be a singer-songwriter in a band. And ladies in music are either very creative or just a singer-idols in the commercial business. That's one reason ladies are quite few in prog, and solo careers - think of Kate Bush - are seldom categorized as prog anyway.

Smile Yep! We talked about how I discovered her music, how much I loved her music, my impressions of it, and what she thought of Newfoundland, as I recall. A very nice lady -- I was developing a crush on her!Embarrassed
