I don't see how anybody could put Fripp over Jimi. Fripp has admitted in the past that Jimi among others was a big influence on him. Fripp is fine and a great innovator, but Jimi wrote the book on guitar innovation. He just didn't stick around long enough, that's all.

I agree, Hendrix could possibly be the greatest guitarist ever. However, Fripp is the best in prog rock.

when it comes to guitar there is no one better than
the American icon!
move over rover and let Jimi take over, he gave his
life!
Evidence Axis: Bold as Love! 1967, I said 1967! NO
ONE EVER OUT DID THIS!

Love Jeff Beck and Buddy Guy, the one Page, Beck
and all the rest copied!
He still performs at his club in Chicago, and you
have never seen nothing like it, I have seen all of the
KINGS in their prime, outside of Hendrix, with Roy
Buchanan and Stevie Ray Vaughan gone, if you are
ever in Chicago you should pay a visit to the
LEGEND!

I don't like satriani, i went to a g3 and sincerly is the least i wantend to listen
Malmsteen is always oversaturating that just f**ks all his great technic

I like petrucci, howe very much, talking about not prog guitarists  Paco de Lucia, Erick Johnson, Greg Howe are some of the bests

Fripp is probably the most technical guitarist of prog rock. He gets my vote .

I think Steve Howe is both a superior (technical) guitarist as well as composer (the same can't be said for his solo signing, however he does seem to blend well with Squire).

Robert Fripp, but I voted other because a poll of best guitar player without John McLaughlin, Fred Frith, Michael Karoli and Jimmy Page, but with Vai, Malmsteen and Satriani asks to be treated as a joke.
And above all, is punk
