I don't listen to Porcupine Tree Jethro Tull, or The Who equally, but I voted for Porcupine Tree, because I remembered going through a Who phase for about a week, and I might consider giving Jethro Tull another shot someday.

then again...the Who seem to be taking a bullet for the ELP's of the poll LOL

LOL and I just saw them only as mislabeled as a prog group hahha

It's the last time I eat off that roadkill memorial tree.

Bondage Fruit, on the other hand, appeals much more... Whip it good.  But seriously, I think there's a decent case for PT in Crossover.

last I heard... Space Rock was at a loggerheads as to whether they wanted to give it up. If they do... it comes down to hard..errr.. heavy prog and Xover I guess.  Personally I think they fit heavy better. But that is to be discussed.. if we ever get them.

FINALLY!
I've been saying this for years (well.... with Art Rock before the genre ch...oh you get it)
Anyway, The Who. Never cared about them. They're ok but nothing I've felt that i needed to pursue

It's good to see that all of the respondents so far have wanted to listen to Crimson. The Beatles have got my vote. I never really got into them.

Interesting poll , I feel some what perplexed for voting for any of these gifted bands but if I must its between The Who and The Beatles and since The Who had Keith Moon on Drums I'll say The Beatles, that said Beatles are still great but I,m a drummer so I'm influenced by drums a lot , I notice that most of the bands mentioned have wicked drummers, seems Yes fans do also   .

Thanks... And yeah, actually I would agree that Heavy Prog would better-describe the band's output, but I'll be interested to wait and see what happens, if anything.

Led Zeppelin. I don't like Plant's screaming, and although they were original and they were good musicians, they're just not my kind of band.

The Who.   Never really got into them much.    All I have is a best of 2 disc set.  Rarely play it.

I think all of the said bands are great other than Jethro Tull, who's only good effort is "Cross-Eyed Mary", I really don't care for Tull, but sometimes I wish I did....

I've been trying to get into Rush. I've bought a whole pile of LP's & CD's in an effort to take the leap; just none of it really reaches out and grabs me.
