On the upside Foyt are switching to Chevrolete next year so maybe that will bring them a boost, it's why Sato left the team.

Sad what's happened with JPM but....can't blame em. You gotta produce on that team and I've no idea what the hell happened to him this year.

I personally like Newgarden a lot, so am very excited for him. He already managed 4th this season, so with this move hopefully he will become a title contender.

Also that's a shame for Munoz. I'd say that's a downgrade for him, and I liked him though guess he never did quite pan out. Good for Sato though.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like the Sporstcar team will get going until '18, so only the one race for him next year.

JJ's in the final 4 after winning at Martinsville yesterday. Ugh...

Also saw that Takuma Sato is taking over the AA #26 next year in IndyCar and that Munoz will sign with Foyt, in the 14, so essentially a driver swap.

AAAANNNNDDD.....JPM is staying with Penske for next year....for only the Indy 500.  Rumors are that he's possibly going to be a part of their sportscar team.

He seems to be getting quite lucky, thats 2 races in a row where he could have ended up behind one or both Red Bulls and instead finished 2nd.

Well, that was a crazy end to the race yesterday, first Verstappen and then Vettel get a penalty to loose 3rd place with Ricciardo finally getting the last step on the podium.

LOL I did not! I'll have to see if I can find it online.

Sounds exactly like Harvicks MO there.

Shame for Truex, but glad Brad is gone.

Now all they have to do is axe Harvick and I"ll be happy.

Yawn. F1 was more exciting when Ham and Nicco were banging on each other.

Without any technical problems Nico will take the championship. All he has to do is finish second in all of the rest of the races.

Good racing from Alonso at the end there. Thats the 5th race this year that Vettel has got himself involved in a first corner melee, hard to blame him this time because he was notably ahead of Hulkenberg and Bottas, but thats still far too many for someone like him. Ricciardo got screwed by the VSC there, would have been great to watch him and Rosberg fight it out for 2nd to the line.

I know...I never really expected it to happen, so now we're in the danger zone. He's close/doing well enough that my hopes are rising, to the point where if it doesn't happen I'd be pretty bummed opposed to just 'well that's what I figured' Cry

caught a replay...seems like hami can't shake that case of Webber's disease. they did a lovely montage of all the races he's dropped back at the start and some of them were very impressive.

Maybe this is just Nico's year.

that would be all kinds of excellent.

I won't get too excited though. Still plenty of racing time left.
