I don't know why, but electronic stuff a-la Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, etc. and Krautrock always seems "warm" to me.  Must be why I don't listen to it as often during summer, dunno.

Dali, I just noticed the transition in your recently played tracks.  Was it coincidence that you went from a song "Part Cardiac" to listening to the Cardiacs? LOL

Haha, I just noticed it too!

Just so happens I've been listening to a lot of Oceansize and Cardiacs lately... who, keep in mind, work together and greatly respect each other's music. That is strange, isn't it?

I haven't seen any mention of Cardiacs greatly respecting Oceansize, but it wouldn't be surprising.  What's even less surprising is that Oceansize greatly respects Cardiacs - have you seen the list of bands who have admitted to respecting/being influenced by Cardiacs on their Wiki page?  Pretty diverse bunch: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cardiacs#Legacy

Mmm, my fall/winter Krautrock obsession is starting. Big smile

Yeah, they seem to be pretty influential. Also, Tim Smith produced a few of Oceansize's first few EPs. Doesn't mean he likes the band, but I know that he and Mike Vennart are friends.

Play Can. Stay away from Faust or Neu! when playing music for the class. LOL

sh*t, I still haven't heard the second disc of Sing To God

Shocked Fix that fine sir.

How are you doing Joel?

Been pretty sick the last 2 weeks, but pretty good other than that. Yourself?

That sucks. I'm good now that I'm done with pretty much 3 days of nothing but school and work.

Since we're talking about Can, how about a hip-hop track based entirely around "Sing Swan Song" (yes, it's in the Kanye thread, but I don't care Tongue).
