Scott, I don't know if you saw the post, but that Cast album is available through mindawn, if you have an account there.  I actually just bought it myself in an attempt to listen to some non-RIO music LOL

What are we shredding? Confidential documents? In that case - definitely yes.

Oy! Scotty boy! Have you checked out 3RDegree yet? Methinks they're right up your ally.

I agree. It's probably part of the reason my reviews range anywhere from being crap to very crap. The only format I ever stick with is a crap one, but otherwise I just tend to let the words flow.

Fixed. WinkLOL

I agree. It's probably part of the reason my reviews range anywhere from just over a hundred words to well over 1500 or so. The only format I ever stick with is a track-by-track review, but otherwise I just tend to let the words flow.

I have that an issue with Wilson's voice as well.

Go in expecting quality rock instead of a boatload of prog - I think PT is a fantastic rock band which skirts on the edge of prog (well, at least with a lot of their recent releases - earlier Floyd-related stuff is a different animal).

Yes, I know. I guess it boils down to me having some problems with modern rock, and Steven Wilson's voice has that "anemic" vibe I find very hard to tolerate.

I quite like most of the PT I hear. Fear of a Blank Planet is a bit too weak on the vocals and lyrics front for my liking. I think it's still pretty much alternative rock with a bit of psych thrown in.
