We don't feel that bad over here in blighty. We are quite happy with our team. Just a shame about the result! (ooh side netting. That got them excited)

A big disappointment for me, but then again, my expectations were too high maybe. It was a close escape. In the second half, the people who came from the bench (Mertens, Fellaini, Origi) seemed to make the difference. I'm happy with the three points, but the Belgians didn't shine apart from the goals.

Wilmots needs to shake les Diables Rouges up, they are playing dumb and slow. No pace, no smarts.!

Yes, it will be interesting to see how the Belgians perform. This has to be the finest crop of players they have ever had (Hazard, Lukaku, Vermaelen, Courtois, Kompany, Januzaj, Mignolet, Fellaini, Witsel, De Bruyne, Mirallas etc) However, there are no real experienced leaders in their squad (save Kompany and Vermaelen perhaps?) and I suspect that despite their individual and collective talent they might just come up short from lack of tournament nous at this level. Four years hence, they just might be world champions.

exactly my thoughts on this team...hmmm...minus the last sentence , they could become a very solid team though.

Nigeria vs Iran was one of the best 0-0 games I have ever witnessed , the ebb and flow was palpitating, a real battle in the midfield was waged by both sides. No goals but what a tussle that was!

^ Probably, but they've beaten a very good Ghana side today (both teams can play a lot better and yes, they'll have to) Clint Dempsey is one of the most undervalued attackers in the whole tournament.(I wish Arsenal had bought him years ago)
Pepe is a war crime against good sportsmanship, wish he'd been red carded back up the maternity chute in 1983

That was a very important win for the US but I expected them to play better, they'll have to get their sh*t together if they wanna go to the next round.
