I mean, I guess if it worked then we wouldn't have given it a thought, of course, but yeah with the game on the line and you have Peyton they choose to run it? Let's say he didn't fumble, what if they stop him? That'd also keep the clock moving. Just don't get it.

Bradford: credit where it's due, he was having a pretty solid year.
I guess it feels underwhelming as a #1 pick but yeah, quite a shame there

Also, it is being reported that Bradford has a torn acl. As much as I admire the rams sticking with it I think it's time they draft a qb high in this upcoming, supposedly qb rich draft.

No idea why they would try and run with Hillman in that situation. And Vickerson was f**king up through the whole game. Terrible job by the Broncos but also pretty excellent job by Indy.

Yeah, it's weird...I wanna feel bad for New England because it's the type of call that makes us all think "really!?" buuuuuut....the tuck rule. Plus their history of glorious luck and NFL preference, maybe I'm just an a****le (ok I am) but  I find it hard to feel for the Pats.

Wow, yeah credit to Indy. I have no idea who 90% of these players are, but they really are keeping a lid on Denver.
And the pressure! Until this game Peyton has been able to bake a pizza in the pocket, not seen this much pressure and that last play pressure led directly to a pick. Color me impressed with this Indy D

Edit: Wow! Hillman and Vickerson deserve benches for this one. Really hate to boil it down to 2 plays, but that fumble and that stupid ass penalty pretty much cost this game. It's amazing they still had a chance late but Indy did deserve this one, what an effort.

Baseball can stay in it's own thread, thanks...

Stafford is actually having his best year thus far, from what I can see, but he does have Calvin-itis. It's a disease where he's gotten so used to lobbing it into the general area of Calvin Johnson, he can't do much else.

Wow. I was wondering when Denver's porous defense would finally bite them, looks to be now. Luck and Indy has just been methodical and unstoppable. Best way to hold Peyton is to keep him off the field.
But also Indy has played some great man coverage.
Has anyone else found Denver ridiculously conservative? Like even down big near the end of the third...they're still running often and throwing screens. Maybe it's been due to the defense, but Peyton has been very conservative, until I started typing this and he's now opened upLOL

You're telling me. Seeing them lose the end of that game because of a guy on ST run into one of his teammates and take a penalty on a new rule gave me feeling in my chest and made today that much better.

Not to mention the Browns and Ravens losing. I think that's the first time in my life I've ever rooted for the Steelers. Part of me felt unclean doing it. But being up 2 games now was worth it.

That was a game that I saw going either way. Two high-variable teams who were built almost exactly the same is almost a toss-up. Both QBs had passes that were either under- or overthrown, and a few in either direction would have decided the outcome much sooner. Not to mention two field goals that didn't happen.

I about had a heart attack at several points in that game, but I'm glad we came out on the right side of it for once. It's almost starting to give me some hope. Or heart failure. They're fairly similar to Bungles fans.

And that was way too many injuries for any game. I'm never a big fan of anyone getting hurt in a game, but seeing our defense and Detroit's O-line drop like flies made me sick to my stomach.

I shouldn't feel too bummed about losing to a legitimate team, but the Lions blew a huge opportunity today to take sole possession of first place in the North.  All three phases seemed to fall apart when it mattered most.

If Stafford could've hit the wide open receivers in the first half Detroit would've had the game wrapped up by halftime. Your city is a constant disappointment to me. They have the gallows up for that idiot SS that booted the easy double play ball, last night, yet, btw?

I know most people don't like Harbaugh but I do, and kudos...when that fight broke out he was the first one to run in thereLOL

Well G Men gotta win tomorrow...if they can't top the Vikings might as well aim for 1-15 and take this Clowney guy from SC :(
Wow, 6 run TDs in the CHI/WAS game that is kind of awesome.

Hoping tonight will be a great game, with all the hype and drama imagine if it's a snoozerLOL

Giants sign Peyton Hillis, had no idea he was still floating around there (maybe his time at CIA endedLOL)
Well god knows what he has left but who didn't like that brawler of a guy?

Yeah who knows, Schaub was I'd say a lower top 10 QB... and according to PFF it's not even bad luck/good D but he was just chucking balls with little regard and not reading defenses at all. Very unusual what happened with him.

The Texans entire offense is terrible this year, not just the QB's.  And yeah, Houston's fans (the one's who cheered) should be ashamed.  That's just awful.  I wouldn't even cheer Aaron Rodgers or Kaep getting hurt and those are probably my two most "hated" players in the league.

Best of the rest!

Pains me but I really do think Dallas is the best team in the East, they seem to be the most consistent and potent on offense, and they have some defensive talent. Not a ton, but some which is more than the Eagles/Giants/Skins can say.
Foles does have better upside though. Sorry, we tried and tried I just don't think Vick has it, and even before injury Chip Kelly seemed to have toned down his experiment. I fear the Eagles more with Foles, totally sincere.

Hate to give in to drama, but next week THE game has to be Indy/Denver. Should be a good battle of good teams and also, the Peyton stuff.

Unrelated: Houston fans cheering Matt Schaub being injured: shameful. TJ Yates goes out and throws a pick six...poetic justice

Looking forward to Eagles/Cowboys next week.  Timing of this game is great, getting to find out who's top dog.

That is fair, but it's not quite the same as the real deal ya know?
And of course it all is up to the team.
Despite playing there...the Giants suck at homeLOL the area's famous "swirling winds" aren't always present either.

Dallas/Wash is what I expected, bleh
Hoping tonight's is better

Their practice facilities have both an indoor and an outdoor field so that they can practice on both.  They just always seem to play bad outdoors though.  Not sure if it is that they loose their footing on the grass or that the quarterbacks can't judge throwing the ball 5 feet to the left in order for the wind to sail it into the receivers' hands instead of passed the receiver.
