Raiders at home against the Pittsburgh  Steelers. Raiders are coming off a BYE. I'm actually optimistic about this one.

Just wow.
BotD, I guess, for Freeman...clearly he was not ready to be thrown to the wolves like that, must've been one of the worst games I've ever seen. Only Tebow may have had more painful passing displays.

At least there was some pressure against, according to PFF, the 11th best O line thus far in 2013 and I know that have some solid players.
If we can start getting pressure again well hell, maybe we'll beat Oakland kinda sorta easilyLOL

Well, a win is a win. Gotta beat the teams at the bottom so this is a good start. Hopefully can keep the positives flowing and start to work on all the other remaining issues.

At least they won't be 0-16.

That was ugly as sin.
Actually they've played better games against better teams this year but, that's no surprise. Always to the level of the opponent with em...
Well, glad the Vikings are awful. Can't say I feel good at all but a W is a W. They did a great job of containing AP and actually put the QB on the ground for once.

Peyton Hillis was as impressive as you can be coming off the street.
Really pissed that Eli had 2 TDs and a few other passes dropped on him, but Randle did have a mean grab.
What can you say? Least they finally got #1 done, now onto the next 3 wins LOL

Kevin Gilbride is the dumbest motherf**ker in the NFL. Glad to see in this critical game hes sticking with his classic play calling: run on 2nd & 10, throw a dink pass on ensuing third down. Eli has bailed him out for years but this guy has to be fired . Ruined a beautiful interception...

Believe me, it wasn't easy :(   big blue wrecking crew is now the big blue...anus, I guess?

I do predict a win tonight though. Eli will have a light game, only 400 yds and 4 TDs

Getting ready for an exciting NFC battle tonight Brian?  Wink

Let me re phrase, great effort against Brady. Especially with the pressure, I reckon he's the 2nd toughest to get to next to Peyton...

Eh, what can ya say with 0-6? I can't really feel much of anything. If the Giants win tonight 49-0 meh, it's the Vikings and they'll be 4-12 anyway. If anything they dont wanna win TOOO many games...don't want to miss that chance to get clowneyLOL

You sure you want Clowney?  That guy sounds like drama.

I don't follow college much, I assume you mean this whole half assing thing he's doing?
Please, if anyone knows anything lemme know but what I hear is:
1) He's being a bitch and half assing this year to either avoid injury or he doesn't wanna play
2) Supposedly he's still considered a top pick by most
3) giants defense is anusLOL

It's a bit concerning I guess if he's not going all out but eh, if you pass on him and he's the next beast pass rusher I'd fire myself as GM!

That third description is great. LOL

Bradford: credit where it's due, he was having a pretty solid year.

I guess it feels underwhelming as a #1 pick but yeah, quite a shame there

It would have been better to run it with "Knosho"...sure a fumble can happen whenever but Hillman doesn't seem good at holding onto the ball. A bad coaching decision more than a bad play call IMO.

Of course, I wold have just thrown it to either one of the Thomases but then again I'm biased like that.

Of course I'd like them save a tiny bit of their balls and scrap a few wins out. I'm confident...NY has been pretty darn good against the run, MIN is just awful and we are playing better. That said, Eli may go 0-30 with 7 pick sixes and we fumble 8 times, honestly nothing can be a surprise anymore!

Unrelated, awful news about Reggie Wayne. Year is done, tragic for the Colts and really feel bad for the guy, solid, workman life WR.

Your extra rooting was the karma needed for us to get that 2nd win, thanks! LOL

We will probably lose to Oakland next week as they always seem to find a way to beat the Steelers, even during a good year...

Pure guess there Pat, but it actually does make sense.

I didn't question the call itself, it is the rule after all, just wondered why would they first enforce it in an overtime game and I chucked it up to "well it's about time they didn't get the graces of the NFL gods" or "tuck rule karma" but if they did run that same play against the Saints (IDK guess I'll take your word for it) it's quite possible someone noticed it...
If so, the Pats can only blame themselves then for trying to run it again. Bill's running on the fine line of the rules (when he's not breaking them) has to get him eventually. He now says "Oh I was wrong after all, I misinterpreted the rule" yeah, sure thing Billy. Clown

Really though, the Jets D played a great game and Brady has proven yet again he's not too good under pressure IMO. Pretty poor game from him even with Gronk back

And on a pretty rough call...amazing, some refs were napping and forgot you don't ever call penalties on New England
You're telling me. Seeing them lose the end of that game because of a guy on ST run into one of his teammates and take a penalty on a new rule gave me feeling in my chest and made today that much better.

Not to mention the Browns and Ravens losing. I think that's the first time in my life I've ever rooted for the Steelers. Part of me felt unclean doing it. But being up 2 games now was worth it.

About the call: The Pats ran the same play against the Saints last week. It's a new rule. Most likely the Jets saw it on film and told the refs that the Pats were purposely trying to circumvent the rule change. (Que MoM yelling Cheatriots or Bill Bellicheat or something)
