Well, this eve I proclaim PENDRAGON's - The Shadow......... to be my fave piece of music.
Those who know the tune, I gotta say that Nick's lead break a few minutes in, with the " I ran and ran to go as far as I can......." just brings me to tears. Beyond amazing. Similar now as I listen to Transatlantic's 'Shine' when Roine takes his solo.......... (Move over, Gilmour........) |

ahhhh... while it is no longer my default song of the day as it was for what... 9 months... my god how this song still moves me.
Definitely one of my highlights of last year was getting plastered with the group the night before their show and gushing to the group, Cheyenne and Joee in particular, how much I loved the album and especially this song. And having Cheyenne wink and smile at me from the stage when they did this song (and the album) perfect justice live. I blew 20 years of 'sobriety' that night... and if I was to do it.. I picked the right time and place. |
