Yeah I really understand what you mean. I really want to buy a quality DAC player soon just for diversity at some point.
I've been rocking digital for a while now and I absolutely love what I hear through what I own, but I'm curious to hear what my HD 800 Sennhiser headphones would sound like running through a DAC amp.
I'm currently using my JVC stereo AMP which supplies more than enough power to run them properly. I also have a Harmon Kardon Receiver which is like a high quality 'warm tube amp' power supply but none of these coverts the signal to Analogue of course and I think I wanna spend the money and give it a try. DAC's definitely range in price, but I'll definitely do my research. :)
Gimmie my headphones now!!! 🎧🤣

They are amazing sounding for sure. Just had R.E.M. going, and it is pure ear-candy. There was also a live dbl LP called 'Reality Dream' - I think copies sold out mega-fast, was lucky to have jumped on it immediately. Incredible sounding live album, though not straying too much from studio versions. Granted, the music is highly arranged and complex to jam too much into it. Personally, I'm not a prog-metal fan, but there are some outstanding examples like our Polish friends right here

Looks absolutely great and I hope it didn't cost you too much
My favourite is Secondlife syndrome. Their most 'proggy' effort to date I think.
Anyway. Spin away my friend.

Spinning away!!! These are InsideOut Music issues which are simply amazing SQ, they do such a great job. The mix and mastering is very well done. Deeper, warmer beefier sound than the CD versions.....Very pleased.

Anno Domini High Definition is blue vinyl...sweeet!! Couple yrs ago I missed buying these on the Riverside website, my card would not approve the purchase since it was an overseas site, I guess they were protecting me. They had clear for REM and I think SLS was in a yellow vinyl.

On the first pic I posted about 5 grooves to the right must be some insane drum beats or loudness spikes to need such zig zag grooves.....Its cool that a technology that goes back to Alexander Graham Bell, some of us still enjoy at high levels of sonic wonder.

^ Abso-f**king-lutely amazing photos there. Such an amazing soundscape within the technical 'landscape'.
....now, where are the close-ups of a CD surface - (probably as boring as the format ) - just a bunch of computer jargon does not look as cool as vinyl grooves........

This along with the other InsideOut Music label issues I have bought recently are impeccably done. The mix is exceptional on all of them......I am really pleased at what they have been issuing on vinyl lately!!

Highly recommended

Look at art!!! All blown up beautifully. This is where vinyl can make CDs look silly. ;)

The sleeves and inner gatefold are also nice art work.....Most never notice the bottom left, guy pushing the boulder up the mountain.

Random thought : Death Magnetic is the best Metallica I've heard !! Nice as dbl LP too

Oh and Metallica's Death Magnetic is a thrashing ass kicker. Best album since their Black album of 1991.

Six years already ?!! I'd say the best since 'And Justice...' but I rarely re-visit early Metallica coz it, well, let's just say those earlier albums remind me of a very messed up period in my life......
