I'd start with either In the Court of the Crimson King or Red or both. Two classics, very representative and perfect for KC-noobs.

Hello everyone, I seem to have a little problem.

I've always been a huge prog fan and ProgArchives has broaden my mind to SO much music.
Just recently, me and my guitar player bought tickets to see King Crimson in Los Angeles on October 2nd.
my guitar player is a Crimson fan, and I know they are one of the most Iconic groups in prog history.

Now when I say this I might get crucified....Dead
BUT I do not know much of King Crimson, never got around to experiencing their music to the fullest
Besides a few songs I heard in Pandora... I don't count that!
I like experiencing an Album entirely.

What album or where would be the best place to start experiencing King Crimson?
and what am I expecting at this concert?Shocked
I noticed they had a vast change in line up...

I did not want to bother my guitar player with all the details...
and I really wanted to read the opinions and facts about the group through you guys!!!

This isn't real life.... This is fantasy....
