By the way, Alan, have you thought about adding vocals to Hanashukketsu? I can totally see some Toby Driver-style melodies over some of this music, and a spoken word poem would actually fit perfectly. Just an idea for future albums . |
There are a lot of things I'd like to try and vocals are on that list, but I don't know how I'd like to do them, though Vompatti probably wouldn't have trouble writing some poetry (he's an author of sorts). We have been discussing a saxophone addition in our future.

Not really my thing, but I found the use of banjo as contrast to the noise very interesting. Also, I liked the drum sound in the last track.

Just sampling it right now, I'm on the first track and it sounds very interesting; the interplay between the banjo and bells is especially creative. I'll download it when I get on my desktop, I'm definitely enjoying it so far. Good stuff .

I really like the sound of this thing.

Vompatti (synths, percussion, and drum machine) and I (guitar and banjo) have been busy at work recording an industrial/acoustic album under the name Hanashukketsu (鼻出血).
I hope you enjoy it :D
