Soooooooo repetetive. The only thing the drummer in FF does is "dum-pa-dum-pa-dum-pa-dum-pa" for five whole minutes while the guitarist just plays standard chords all like "wha-wha-wha-wha-wha-wha"...just kill me.

Two Italian bands spring to mind:
ZU and Ephel Duath.
Progressive like a pair of meat-hook sandals.

Haha, well, I'd agree that they deserve more! They should've won that Grammy that those God-awful Foo FIghters won, for one thing!
Foo Fighters aren't bad. Unlike DT, they have a singer.

Favorite is Indukti, hands down. Also should mention Dianoya. I did listen to the Clandestine tracks and I like, so thanks for the intro!

They're ALL relatively unknown, unless their name is Rush or Dream Theater, really.

I don't know if they are unknown but I never heard someone talk about them here.
Counter World Experience (they are listed here in Tech/extreme progmetal but it's still Progmetal hehe) they really worth attention
EDIT: Octopus are pretty amazing too !!

Clandestine. The only prog metal band I listen to, and I want them to get more recognition.

Everyone has their favorite prog metal bands that little to nobody they know is largely aware of. I'll get things started by sharing Vangough as a favorite of mine.
