The oldest I can remember was "Red Barchetta" off Moving Pictures. It was the waking track my dad had every morning many years ago. Sometimes I woke up early and heard that intro. It's nostalgic now. That was when I was like 10? Later I had listened to some Pink Floyd, Rush, Tool, and some 80's metal if it counts. But the serious epiphany of "prog" was probably DT's Images & Words.

I love Moving Pictures and Red Barchetta too.

Dude. I dig your Wall!!! Nice one Tom, so as your friend I shall add another brick to it. ________] Nothing forges good friendship like cement and solid prog!! Lol
I couldn't do multiple lines directly underneath one another so it was a bit of a disappointing one row show but slightly effective.  Never mind - my sis had Dark Side for years before I acquired The Wall and I was fascinated with that - how it all blended together seamlessly, amazing sound effects etc.  The pieces 'On The Run' and  'Any Colour You Like' with the synths always captivated a very young me.  I knew I was on to something......
I got The Wall around Christmas 1985.  I was 13.  Much of the album blew me away - except things like The Trial, Bring The Boys Back Home etc.  Then it was Atom Heart and the More Soundtrack and most of the Floyd catalogue.  Then came Genesis, Yes, King Crimson, ELP, Asia, Marillion, Atomic Rooster, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath etc.

I am so impressed with modern Prog these days I rarely spin these 'golden oldies' anymore......

It is so wonderful that we have had such incredible, prolific prog bands who started it all for us. You had PINK FLOYDand I had RUSH. I can tell you, for me, it was love a first listen. Oh and seriously, I like your WALL. Very creative.
Oh - I like RUSH quite a bit too, but mainly Caress Of Steel through to Signals - I came across VDGG/Hammill, MAGMA, most Kraut bands late 80's/early 90's and still continuing.  I came across Le Orme's Felona and Sorona album by chance at this 2nd hand record shop who had it filed under 'F' - the dude at the counter thought it was some male/female duet album Confused - his loss was my gain Approve. Somewhat fragmented banter here, but I recall my significant Prog discoveries with fondness.
Oh yeah, thinking back now, it was Floyd's 'Live At Pompeii' video that really instigated my love for Prog.  I was expecting a live show of The Wall, but instead got such mind-blowing things like Echoes and Set The Controls, and Careful With That Axe.............

You listened to THE LAMB at 9 years old?? Wow. What a mind job that must have been for you.

That's nothing; I was gobbling pungent blue cheese and smoked salmon at the gentle age of 8 or 9.

We're Only in It for the Money - Frank Zappa

It's funny, was a fan of classical music into my teenage years, my father was a huge ELP and Genesis fan going back to their hayday, and I had been hearing songs by Pink Floyd, Yes, and ELP on the car radio since I was a child but it wasn't till college that I put it all together (though I still don't care for Genesis).  A buddy of mine (who was a pre-existing Tool fan, a band I hate with a passion to this day) and I both took notice of the music of Frank Zappa and from there expanded into the general prog world.  If the usually bland DVE hadn't accepted someone's phone request for "Montana" who knows if I'd have ever found out that music could be more than just background noise.  It was also a stroke of luck that We're Only in It for the Money was the first Zappa album I purchased (and I mean luck, I had no idea what to buy out of such a huge discography) because of how exceptionally weird it is.  I miss those days of discovery somewhat but I also think my time may have been better spent chasing women, in hindsight LOL.

Pink Floyd Shine On The Crazy Diamond and Animals

I think I was 3-4 year old when heard it. so, it was probably near 1977 (I was born in 1973)
Of course I wasn't aware what "prog rock" is.  My father was (and is) rock and jazz guitarist, and he has a good taste in music , so I grew listening father's music collection

other my "not so prog" but important influences was The Beatles and Deep Purple

There first one I very clearly remember was Yessongs, closely followed by TDSotM in the late '70s.
