No, I would rather play Cardiacs & Oingo Boingo stuff over Wizard of Oz.

^^ i don't have kids (i have younger brothers thou) but I know that kids off today are becoming faster adults the like 10 years ago, and alot of whats on Disney channel is for belowe what mye agegroup was watching when we were youn,
and it all has to be so REAL, kids need to se some mild fantasy and adventure stuff, like Neverending Story, old Disney classics, Don Bluth films, Turtles, Biker Mouse From Mars, Mummin, troll, Animals from farthingforest, etc NOT Teletubbies

what about Ghostbusters I and II arent they family movies, and Land Before Time, Edward Scissorhands,
AND PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN trilogie (I add this to my list) as the best family films all three of them.
they have everything that makes a family movie great, adventure, imagination, humour, great cast, pirats and the seven oceans, swordfighting, treassurehunting etc...

It depends how old your kids are - younger children would have nightmares about some bits of Pirates - dead people, voodoo, sea monsters etc etc.

Got to give a vote to the Jungle Book!
I'm not sure that The Sound of Music is a family film. Three out of four of my family wouldn't watch it unless forced. |
Obviously mostly parents voted..so its really their choices. |
I bet not many male parents voted! A good choice for a family file in my household (by a 3 to 1 majority) would be something like Resident Evil (well, it was last night anyway). |
Thats more of an Addams Family film.
