Sigur Rós have scrapped their new album, binning recordings described last year as "near completion". Frontman Jonsí Birgisson has revealed that the Icelandic band are on indefinite hiatus, as they are busy "having babies" and releasing solo albums.

We need to take this one off the list... Disapprove

Still 10°C in my room, because I'm not able to understand how to handle this machine that makes heat using coal and wood, lot of pipes and sheer randomness of faults.

Sometimes, it's 12°C and from 4PM-1AM it's about 20°C, so I'm happy. At least my netbook isn't overheating and I have a sober mind to think about....

things.

So I can rename this thread back, you've been punished long enough :-)

The question is, what's up in new year ? I feel that I lack something here.

What CAN'T we expect?
Old Genesis to reunite and put out a spectacular prog album. Tongue

On a non prog related note, I just woke up and there's no water.  Probably a main break in the area.  It's been happening all around town.  On a positive note.  I decided to take a hot bath last night. Big smile

Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

And a funny name change of  this thread too Brian, even temporary.

I'm thinking you can expect a new year, just as same as the old year, except a little different..

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned in the previous 12 pages - but Devin Townsend has said in an interview that Ghost and Deconstruction will be released simultaneously in May.

The reason is that Ghost is going to be much less expensive to produce (and will sell less), and by doing it this way he can combine the funding.

The new Negura Bunget will be named "Varstele pamantului" (Ages Of The Earth or Ages Of The Land) and the release date is March 2010. There will also be a live DVD with the classic line-up due to be released in 2010, and it will be named "Focul viu" (Living Fire). Clap

It really is grainy. Strange thing that painting is sharp clear.

You can review it to ensure its position.

However, I hope that new Birds & Buildings won't be as "new" (2009) Porcupine Tree, which turned, you know how. We expected (a lot of us) and it was, .... it was.

Same with me, except getting wet (not even metaphorically ;-) ), really looking forward to it. Bantam to Behemoth started so aggressively and charmed us all.

Speaking of which, looks like it's finally grabbed the #1 spot on the 2008 charts

Good! I've been meaning to review it to push it to the top but looks like I didn't need to... >_>

Yeah, it really is incredible. I was actually inspired to look it up as soon as I got the album, mostly because I was curious as to why the cover art was so grainy while the rest of the album art was fine.

1)Maybe you didn't know, but cover of Bantam to Behemoth is part of this painting by Dutch painter (medieval) H. Bosch. It's called Garden of Earthly Delights. I have two paintings in my room and one of them you can see

2)in my signature picture, noticing it already ? :-)

BEAutiful, really nice work of art, both of them. Also, this painting inspired me to write so much words for their album.

Really looking forward to this one.................................
