I have always been in love with "Instant Karma" from John. I purchased the single when it was released and it was just great (the B-side from Ono, was another story...).
"What Is Life" from Georges was also a favorite, as the wonderful "Another Day" from Paul. But I voted for "Instant Karma".

A monkees formula band complete with a ready to go culture all pre-packaged for the masses. The only real musician in the band was George. Anyway, whatever, Paul got knighted for a job well done. That speaks volumes to me. Oh I know, I'm crazy....................or am I? They were not even plugged in when they played Shea Stadium, ha ha ha ha.
The Beatles are up there with the moon landing in perfects frauds. Lest we forget the guy that just died the other day owns the rights to their music that was really written by Theadore Adorno. Um, that's who Jackson bought the right of the music from. ![LOL LOL](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif)

Not a very hip choice, but Paul McCartney's No More Lonely Nights would be my fave.
George Harrison was my first hero when I was a kid, but later it was Paul McCartney / Wings. I remember them being very popular in the '70's. I very much like the album Venus And Mars, especially the eponymous opening track.
I also like the song Band On The Run, and I always loved Linda McCartney's synth solo on it ![Tongue Tongue](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley17.gif)
I always loved George Harrison's What Is Life BTW, and Bangla Desh. Those would be my favourite post - Beatles "Harrisongs".

I was unaware of this law, or at least that it would apply to this kind of forum. The laws of copyright are intended to stop people profiting from other people's work not to stop them discussing it. Given that the lyrics of every song ever written are available for free on countless websites, the law seems rather strange. The song I quoted can even be played for free on the official John Lennon website.
Anyway, assuming I end up in the same place as John Lennon I'll make a point of apologising to him.

I would imagine Beatles lyrics will be particularly sensitive to illegal reproduction.

Re the Harrison album Clarke mentions, very contreversial album. Apparently Paul Beaver was demoing a Moog for Harrison and George recorded what Paul was doing and took the material and released this album.
To this day Paul Beaver is more than happy to tell anyone about his outrage, even ruining Harrison eulogies in local papers a few years back.

Just curious, is anyone familiar with this one: George Harrison: Electronic Sound (1969) ![](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/bf/ElectronicSound569.jpg) Side One: 1. Under the Mersey Wall (18:43) Side Two: 1. No Time or Space (25:06) Is that any good?

Lennon without a doubt, then I'd say Paul, but I rediscovered Harrison, He made a bunch of really great tunes... and his Beatles songs are the best ever.... True artist...

Not listed: John Lennon’s Mother. The vocals are incredible.

Toss up between Lennon's "Gimme Some Truth" And Harrison's "What is Life". I went for the latter.

During the Beatles period I always favored songs by John. After the split I still preferred John's music over the other solo efforts. Working Class Hero and How Do You Sleep are two favorites. But I don't like the live songs with Yoko doing goat noises.
In the mid seventies I saw the Wings Over America concert at the Forum and was surprised at how much I liked the show. But it did not change the fact that I preferred John's solo work.

Other John. John's best work (Plastic Ono Band) is not represented.

I really like Paul McCartney and Wings. Their music seems to be in the realm of Art Rock/Prog-Related to me. The structure of a lot of their songs was unique.
I said Band on the Run because I really love that song. I'm not entirely sure why, but I know I love how Paul sings in sort of a whine during the third part.
