Just made an addition to my set-up that really is a dream come true without exaggeration. For a decent price, I picked up a vintage Eminent Solina String Ensemble (same as the ARP, ARP bought it from Eminent mainly to sell on the american market I think). Since my set-up has more or less everything I need except strings this really was the perfect choice for me, even though it won't make it to any live gigs etc. A wonderful instrument and I'm very happy to say that my Solina is in great shape, cosmetically as well as the sounds :D

@HackettFan
Yeah it's an incredible pedal. Not the easiest thing to use discretely, even though some subtle chorus effects are possible to get the main use is just playing long chords on clav/piano/guitar and let the magic do the work.
@Progbethyname
I usually prefer Line Audio not only because they are great but because they are hand-made here in Sweden :D I've never tried any Sennheiser microphones, but from what I've heard they are great stuff as well. Might buy one some day, if I feel I need another microphone ^^

I'm wish I had one of those Earthquaker Rainbow Machines. I've been looking at demos of it on YouTube. It sounds really precious. Any pedal with a dial labeled 'magic' is a must-have for me. |

Wow... you people have some amazing equipment! I did consider buying a third keyboard this year but since it is impossible for me to use one on live gigs I've upgraded other equipment instead. I am still tempted by the idea to get a vintage monophonic synth in the future though, and alternate between that one (if it's working) and my Moog Little Phatty on stage and in the studio. Anyway, my current equipment:
Keyboards
Nord Electro 2 - 73 key version
Moog Little Phatty - Tribute Edition
A great old upright piano which ended up in my possession since I was the only family member using it
Pedals
Moog Moogerfooger Mf-103 12-stage phaser
EHX Deluxe Electric Mistress flanger
Moodysounds Strange Devil Echo (analog delay, broken atm)
Earthquaker Devices Rainbow Machine
Some tuning pedal for my Moog... don't remember the brand.
All attached to my Pedaltrain 2
Guitars
Simon & Patrick acoustic guitar
Epiphone SG
Amps
DNS Studio 20, great tube-driven bass-amp with a high frequency response. Incredible for E. Piano and Organ sounds.
Hiwatt G20, kinda lame, I don't use it anymore
Microphones
Line Audio CM3 (x2, purchased recently to record my upright piano)
The CM3s are the only ones in my personal possession, other microphones I use when recording in our family's little home studio are:
Shure 545 (x2)
Line Audio SM3L
Oktava ML-52 (x2, incredible for drum overhead/ambience and vocals if you use a dark voice)
Recording
Frost Audioframe laptop
Cubase 6
M-Audio Fastrack ultra 8R soundcard
Presonus Bluetube preamp
Zoom H4 portable recorder, I don't use it for any studio recording but it's great as a headphone amp when practicing (I never practice at home without headphones, believe it or not but some people actually don't like to hear me experiment with sound effects for hours or playing "The Lamia" incorrectly over and over again, they get enough of that from the Upright Piano)
Finally the equipment I use the most by far, my Beyerdynamic DT-770 Pro Headphones.

Hey, do you own any pedals? I used to be into a lot of pedals, but these days my pared down approach has given probably my best tone in my 21 years of playing. In my early days, I used a heavy amount of chorus and delay. Now, I just use a hall reverb and delay with the occasional distorted passage or improvisation. I've found that less is really more.

I've been playing the guitar for 21 years and I've had a lot of different equipment. Right now these are mainstays:
Guitar: Fender Stratocaster Amplifier: Fender Sidekick Reverb (x 2 - stereo setup) Effects: Boss ME-50 Line 6 DL4 Delay Modeler (for ambient loops only) Lexicon MPX-100 (for reverb only) Boss Loopstation (for longer loops) That's it! I have a lot more equipment other than this, but I'm certainly not going to list it all. I have found the less I have in my setup, the purer my tone actually is but, then again, I've never been one for effects like flangers, phasers, harmonizers, etc. I might use chorus every now and then. |

I'm not a gear snob, but it's a fact that the equiptment that you use has a big influence on how you work, and also on the sound that you make. If Hendrix had played 'Star Spangled Banner' on a kazoo, then I don't think that it would have had the same effect.
