At the very least, BE is intelligent if not pretentious in a good way. It really makes you think!

I still don't understand how one can go from "Be" to "Scarsick"... it's like Daniel was so exhausted after writing such an intreresting concept that he suddenly became an angry teenager again...

(say what you want, good slogans have never changed anything).... As I said in my review, poor little Daniel hates America, hates rappers, hates this, hates that... it's a hate album, no better than any hate album in different genres... and the music is so generic... maybe it's what he intended after all: to show us the "mediocrity of america" by doing mediocre music.... But i  really don't think he went that far in his message... He just was so into biting his blanket and pounding his head against cushioned walls for his hate towards the US that he forgot completely how to create good progressive metal...

Definitely. Sometimes I think this whole thing was just a joke album or a joke concept or something. Haven't you ever wanted to make something as painfully bad as possible before, like a poem or a song for your own amusement?

Maybe this is some kind of weird social experiment given the new dichotomy of the PoS fanbase.... Maybe Daniel was bored and thought, "What if we introduce obnoxious nu-metal fans into our group? Wouldn't that be fun?!"

And discussions like this pop-up because there's not really much to talk about regarding the music. "How about those 4 chords played in 4/4 for 10 minutes in Enter Rain?" "Eh..." Plus it seems like the majority of the rabid fans only like it for the lyrics and hatefulness.

It's just ENVY.... Poor Little Daniel watched rappers being millionaires, hollywood celebrities spending money in bullsh*t, and he got upset because his music written in Sweden released in poor little Inside out probably allows him to... survive. Or MAYBE the guy was rich in the first place and that's why he had the possibility of being a musician in the first place,  and he's just suffering from "rich-hippie" syndrome... (my term, don't go looking for that).... Maybe he had a big case of indigestion and American medicine didn't help him... whatever... the album is such a dissapointment, a fight started in a thread about his band where his name wasn't mentioned in like 20 posts.

Dont know if you guys realized that but, on that part "get used to pain, get used to pain" Daniel uses the same construction as on Pokemon's song "gotta catch 'em all, gotta catch 'em all". I like the album, but i cannot contain my laughs when i listen that part. i lol every time!

I just had to fly to and from Atlanta on business. I did find the security measures to be a huge pain; however, every little bit helps. I darn near missed my flight, though.

Let's just sit tight and wait for the shoe to drop. And when I say 'shoe to drop' I mean an attack that makes 9/11 look like a tickle fight. This could be in this country or even YOUR country. When it does, then the world's eyes are going to look to the west.

And sorry for the name calling (although "Junior" is pretty tame). I get pretty heated when I feel like this country is being railed upon. It's just not here on this forum. I read it constantly on a forum for my favorite band quite frequently. Understand my position.

Politics are a heathen subject. I was not offended by Junior (my father's middle name is Junior LOL), besides you are 40 something or 50 something . . . .

About having terrorist attacks here in Brazil, i think that that is highly improbably. We dropped the armed diplomacy over a century ago when we won the Paraguay War and now we try to conduct our stuff with talking. Sometimes that is really frustrating (we are fighting the end of economical protectionism for over 2 decades Ouch, but we got some victories) but it don't generates to much heathen enemies. Damn, Israel is going to keep fighting the Arabs until forever because they took most the land using their army. . . (they bought a large part, but, you know, the Arabs were not willing to sell the rest)

50???!!! That's it....GO TO YOUR ROOM!!!! And I'M senile?

I may have just turned 41, but still feel like a kid. Never lose that.

Never say never. Never say never.

E

My grandfathers on both sides of the family are all above 80, my father's brothers and sisters are all above 50, just like he is. None of them are senile, as far as I know . . .

Besides, you just said never . . . . . 4 times.

Are you trying to p**** me off again?

Moderator winces.
Enough now please.
