Lemmy--Bass, facial hair
Ian Anderson--Winds, vocals, lewd gestures involving a flute
Mike Portnoy--Drumming all over everything, destroying subtlety, eating babies
Edgar Froese--Sequencers, stage presence
Mikael Akerfeldt--Growling, guitar
Ravi Shankar--Sitar, spiritual guidance
The Mascara Snake--Bass clarinet, being fast 'n' bulbous
Brian Eno--Twisting knobs, pretending to contribute
Robert Fripp--Guitar, making people quit

And

Ian - the failure

How could I forget:

Ian--Shred guitar even though Eno turned his amp off; making Akerfeldt's vocals sound listenable; failing.

My superband consists of these fantastic men:

Drums: Bonham, moon, if bonham are too drunk, phil collins if moon had been drinking with Bonham.

Bass: Macca, best ever!

Guitars: Page on lead and Townshend on rythm

Vocals: must be stevie winwood and Mariott, white boys that have more soul in there pinkies than the best black singers like: Otis Redding

My superprogband is the following:

Drums: collins
Bass: Chris Squire
Guitars: Gilmour and on acoustic Ian anderson could  maybe have a flute battle with the vocalist: Peter Gabriel, though it would sound awful.

On the keyboard: Tony Banks, in my world the real heros of prog sit behind the keyboard!!!

"Mike Portnoy--Drumming all over everything, destroying subtlety, eating babies

A possible group for the 00's or the 10's:
Matthew Bellamy-Muse-Keyboards-Vocals
Steve Wilson-P.Tree-Guitar-Vocals
Alex Lifeson-Rush-Guitar
Mike Portnoy-Dream Theater-Drums
..................-............-Bass

Portnoy knows Wilson and neil peart and is a fan of muse
Wilson knows Lifeson
Bellamy Is A fan of P.Tree
Lifeson is a fan of P.Tree
On bass i don't know Not Lee the rythm section will be to rush like otherwise with lifeson too.

"Vocals/Guitar-Daniel Gildenlow
Keyboards-Tony Banks"

Banks Keyboard's and Gildenlow guitar would sound very odd together.

I wonder if that band will ever happen.I think if i were to pick my ultimate band, it would have a different line up than the standard guitar, bass, drums, keys, vocals, but going with that formula i'd probably choose:keys: Keith Emersondrums: Bill Brufordguitar: Bucketheadbass: Tony Levinvocals: Mike Patton

Thats pretty damn interesting, there was a dude in a buckethead costume at a party last night.

I'd love to see how out there that band would be, particularly Buckethead, Emerson, and Patton.
That's funny, because one of my friends said he saw a guy at a party dressed as Buckethead last week.
