Top three? Impossibel to say really.
Rush (always going to be my number 1 no matter what) Camel King Crimson
The last 2 vary a lot with a bunch of other bands. It usually depends on my mood and what I have been listening to for the past week.

Rush and Yes are far above all others for me. Probably DT gets the third spot.
Edit: Since I haven't pimped IZZ in a while, they will definitely occupy the third spot if they continue to put out records of the caliber of "My River Flows".
P.S. for IZZheads: Laura Meade (hot brunette in my sig) has released a self-titled EP.

I can't work out how you people get your "all time artist" orders down so tight and definitive.

Very tough to choose just three, I'll have to limit myself to the modern era, and even then it's basically impossible:
Opeth Pain of Salvation Tool
Honorable mention: Porcupine Tree, Mastodon, The Mars Volta, Riverside, Ayreon

Can't do just 3...but I do have a top 5...
YES
Rush
The Beatles
Led Zeppelin
KISS
Yes & Rush are a strong 1 & 2, and the other 3 rise & fall with my mood......
I Know KISS isnt prog or related, but still one of my all time faves...Please don't ban me
(Queen is actually threatening to crack into that group as well)....
