Former members of the Magic Band who played with Captain Beefheart were part of another band named Mallard (Mark Boston, John French, Art Tripp, Bill Harkleroad, John Thomas)... Their first homonymous release (1975) were produced by Ian Anderson... yes, the same guy who plays flute in a band called Jethro Tull... LOL
