Looking back, the 1980's were a surprisingly good decade for prog, although I didn't think so at the time, mainly because I didn't know many of these albums back in the pre-internet days, when I only knew one album (Deep Purple - The House of Blue Light) in this poll. Embarrassed

^I'm just happy that in a year when this the best prog has to offer, my personal preferences is looking for music elsewhere.

Swans Children of God is a favorite. Other than that I don't enjoy much with a PA-relevance. These three would complete a personal top five:
