No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands. If I've become a man of the world somehow, that's not necessarily to say I'm a worldly man.

I was done with my complaining...

What about "music exists, genres are artificial"? Referring to the people who post here is weird, given that the discussion started by your not being happy about what they posted.

what about "music exists and we have names for genres and subgenres". LOL
There were a few posts that made no sense, I couldn't help it. I already apologized...

Reality is but a construct of the metaphysical notion of self, and the self is but an illusory perception of the non reality where we fail to exist . Don't take that seriously.

I have no idea what is actually meant by existence.

I meant "commonly known". Or at least if you google it, you get an explanation, what it is.

I strongly doubt that "explained on the web so that it can be found by Google" is any good as a criterion for existence. Counterexamples are very easy to find. Wink  "Common" totally depends on what community you refer to. (Sorry I can get annoying when things get philosophical - you don't need to pursue this any further, but if you do, I won't guarantee anything. Tongue)

That's cool, provided you don't coin stupid words like "anatidaephobia", the irrational fear that one is being watched by a duck. (Seriously, I just come across this word a few moments ago!)

Really, that's my favourite word. An irrational fear of ducks. That definition is based on the Gary Larson cartoon methinks. The fear that somewhere, somehow, a duck is watching you. My wife's nickname was Ducks, and her real name is Anita, so I loved to claim Anitadaephobia.

EDIT: Note, his anatidaephobia cartoon was one of his that most stuck with me.
Interestingly, or probably not, I was introduced to Gary Larson and first saw that cartoon when I was 19 and working in Australia at the time (as a cocktail bartender at a resort near Cairns).

Now we know where to look if we can't come up with any genres for the next letter in the alphabet. Thumbs Up

Stop fighting and just have fun already.  No one person is right except for in his/her own minds and/or imaginations.

"J" for J-punk (Yes, it's on the list - sorry I was posting this the same time JD posted a "J".)

PA people invented the genres Eclectic Prog and Crossover Prog to my knowledge, and maybe Heavy Prog (well one could say adapted) -- I used to argue that they are not true genres, just categories especially when it came to Eclectic Prog since I was on that team early on after it split from Art Rock (now Art Rock I consider to be a "true" genre) Terms do come into common usage and others don't but still get used by someone. While I had not intended this to become a Just For Fun type topic and was interested in discovering some new genres and a lot of music from different genres, while there is no reason not to mention "true" genres again and again, I personally don't mind being lenient when it comes to using music descriptors for genres (especially as this repeats more and more through the alphabet, assuming it will go around more), being a little creative, and using unusual classifications. It is amazing how many terms individuals will use to classify music, sometimes rightly, sometimes wrongly, sometimes creatively.   Language is ever evolving.

I remember someone once telling me that a word I used is not a real word, and I said, sure it is, I just coined it, it's a freshly minted word. Maybe I could change this to an A to Z of Music Labels and Genres to include more descriptive terms, but part of the fun is the challenge to me, and I could see this getting too dominantly silly. I want this to be fun, but also I do want it to be informative. Tough to get the right balance that pleases enough.

Anyway, I'll do I
