Well, since A Crimson Mellotron picked a different Deep Purple track from the album my track came from, I will nominate The Who song This Gun Will Misfire.

I think we need 2 more nominations - rushfan4 and mathman - and we can start voting.

ALways fun to have more participation, and I didn’t know that Iggy Pop and am loving it. I’m sad I missed the last round, but felt too busy to participate.
By the way, thanks for all of the comments on my choice. Even if I don’t respond, I read those and appreciate them (not just on mine, but on all of the ones from those who take the time to write something about the choices). I’ve tried before to comment on them, but lack the confidence and ability to do those well or be happy with the results. Edited by Logan - April 24 2021 at 11:52 |

I’ll tell you what. I’ll nominate a song of my own.
Iggy Pop’s “Free” may well be my favourite Pop album, in much the same way as David Bowie’s “Blackstar” is my favourite Bowie album. I could pick almost any track from it, to be honest, as I love them all, but I’ll go with Loves Missing. |

I do, indeed, and that is why I made one of my three votes already. The other two can wait - but I knew without doubt that there could be no way I would like three of the nominations more than Bowie - so one of my votes was always going to go that way. If it turns out I am wrong in my faith, I shall let you know. 😉 |

Based on the comments made, as well as my own preference, I nominate Van der Graaf Generator - Manuelle. It's good to see a track from the maligned second disc of Present be given the opportunity to shine. This track is actually among my favourite VdGG tracks and is probably my favourite 21st century VdGG track.
One thing I'd like to mention about the other track: In a theatre, "Mr Sands" is code for "fire". |

No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands. If I've become a man of the world somehow, that's not necessarily to say I'm a worldly man.

I updated the poll, who did I miss and who's got to post their final nominations.
There are 4 votes already, with the exception of one vote I know it was done harmlessly, the other three are trolls (if you ask me). Voting starts once all final nominations are in.

Lewian Sparks - "Hippopotamus". Wow. This, for me, is the song of this interactive poll. It is quite dadaist and child-like, and with an absurd kind of humour. At the same time is is also very elegant, almost a bit baroque perhaps. I kind of get associations to the early solo albums by Brian Eno. Great track!
