That is quite a random list. I am legitimately impressed how you can really relate to some of these relatively obscure acts despite describing yourself as "not huge in this genre."

Yea Thank You Scientist is definitely one of those head scratchers in terms of labelling (Crossover prog is definitely not a good one ). Ultimately my goal here is strip away the Opeth's and classic prog metal acts still making good music today to see what else the community members consider top tier prog metal.

Lol well I guess you could start with the other group's in my list not listed in yours. You mentioned Caligula's Horse. I've been somewhat underwhelmed by them though I am willing to properly give them another go. What's your go to album for them?

Not my favourite genre tbh and not one I know a lot about.
I do have Mastodon and Haken CDs, I also have the last Thank You Scientist one but I wouldn't call them prog-metal myself (they're in crossover prog here). I also have a Threshold album which is pretty good but they're not allowed, so I would probably vote - 1. Mastodon 2. Haken

Who are your top 5 progressive metal bands from the 2010's? Please limit this to bands that have only released albums in the 2000's. So like Mastodon and Between the Buried and Me are ok, Dream Theater and Opeth are out.
