Hong Kong Garden. Here's another video of the same song, so I hope you have better luck with this one. Smile

All this talk of Hong Kong Phooey chop socky movies just reminded me of this quirky little number by Siouxsie and and Banshees.

A question that's been asked many times over. LOL

The same question has been asked many times about Keith Richards and Ozzy Osbourne too. A doctor once told Keith Richards he had just 6 months to live and Keef said he later went to the doctor's funeral. True story! Shocked

Old rockers never die - they just  f-f-f-f-fade away. Wink

I love CTHD but there exist literally decades of superb HK-MA movies that predate it. Cynthia Rothrock's debut was in Yes, Madam! — that film ignited a new wave of martial arts action films featuring female leads. Rothrock got second billing and fought alongside headliner Michelle Yeoh.

More great movies from the '80s-90s!

Wheels on Meals (1984) (Jackie Chan vs. Benny "The Jet" Urquidez) (superb choreography)
Police Story (1985) (Jackie Chan's influential landmark film with truly exceptional action sequences)
Righting Wrongs (1986) (Cynthia Rothrock vs. Karen Sheperd) (GIF below)
Dragons Forever (1988) (Chan vs. Urquidez II) (one of the best HK-MA films ever made)
China O'Brien (1990) (Rothrock)
Supercop (1992) (a milestone for Yeoh)
The Heroic Trio (1993) (Michelle Yeoh, Maggie Cheung, and the late Anita Mui)
Wing Chun (1994) (Yeoh)

^ Michelle Yeoh sounds familiar. I may have seen her in a Bond movie.

But I like much the 8 albums I have in my collection, and that's at least some.

It's the other way 'round with me - I haven't seen any Japanese movies at all, apart from Godzilla. Tongue

^ I counted 24 artists and 64 albums in total in the above list, so even if I only listen to one Japanese Symphonic Prog album a day, it'll only take me just over two months to listen to them all, which is roughly as long as it takes to grow a bonsai tree. Sayonara. Smile

Social Tension's first album MacBethia is a fairly amazing synth record.

Deja-Vu's Baroque of the Future introduced the world to "the Japanese Wakeman," Motoi Sakuraba!

^ And with that in mind, here's a brief Fromage frais of the marvellous Cinematic delights to look forward to in early 2024 when I'll be paying homage to Japanese Prog by exploring the rich Pageant of Symphonic Prog from the Outer Limits of the Far East, which holds more untold riches than Renaissance's Midas Man, so you may experience a sense of strange Deja-Vu when you get stung by the Japanese prog bee again. Tongue

So much great stuff in there!* I remember when I first got stung by the Japanese prog bee decades ago...it really hurts in the wallet. LOL

*Granted, there are some misses, but many more hits!

But 35 years of inactivity is exactly that. Wink

I was just trying to keep it simple. Wink

It's about to get more complicated though when I start cataloguing and listening to PA's entire discography of Japanese Symphonic Prog albums. Smile
