Man I both love and hate this time of year. There's the pressure of hearing all I want to hear which started a couple of weeks ago for me, at least I'm starting earlier this year.
Thanks Todd for some of your picks on Drew's thread for 2016 releases along with many others for albums I didn't know had been released or I forgot about them. Here we go!

^  I see all of their digital album releases on Bandcamp and they are "name your price".
The two CDs were self released by the band since they don't have a label yet.
If they get signed we should start seeing more physical releases.

This is a new band that I have really gotten into a lot lately. They are an instrumental improvised jam trio who will regularly go into the studio for a full day and, like I said, improvise and jam. Tracks over twenty minutes are not uncommon.
They have released quite a bit this year...

This Is Our Culture - June 2016  (CD)
Colour Atlas - September 2016
Under A Black Moon - October 2016  (CD)
Live On Oxford Island - October 2016
Vibe Factory - November 2016
Be Real - November 2016

Everything is available to download (Bandcamp) but only two CDs so far.

Thanks for the tip, nice band. I'm only seeing Under A Black Moon as a download on Bandcamp though, did they make a CD available some other way?

Btw have you checked out Causa Sui's most recent 'Return To Sky'?

Baron Crane is the only band listed that I had even heard of before yesterday.
If you're interested in hearing any of these the full albums are on YouTube.
Stoned Diplodocus might be a good one to start with since they use a variety of styles and sounds.

I like the new Causa Sui a lot. I ordered the vinyl version right after hearing it for the first time.
They are definitely on my favorite band list.

Thanks man - will be investigating. One can never have too much brainmelting psych music. Always room for more.
Cool you're digging Causa Sui - we have quite the psychedelic tradition here in Denmark and they are, along with Øresund Space Collective, Papir, Spids Nøgenhat, Baby Woodrose, Shiggajon and a whole bunch of others, continuing the style...with great success imo.
I really dug the Pewt'r Sessions - think vol 3 is my fave from them up until now...although they are an act to watch in the flesh. Soooo good live...especially with a little space tobacco on the side

Corima is very good but very different from the last one, a lot less Koenji. I like it a lot.

just listened to it for the first time yesterday and that is truth. they certainly carved out more of their own sound this time about (although it does seem a little less intense then their previous...nevertheless, can't see it not making my top 5 come years end.)

I find that rather refreshing actually as I tend to reach for Koenji's Ni if I'm in the mood for some amphetamine fueled madness...that is not to say that i don't enjoy Corima because I do...just nice to see where they will go next.

New Israeli band Hanagaria have just released a very promising first album, splendid stuff really. They mix middle eastern influences with groove and some avant garde touches, all very tight with a lot of ideas, fans of Estradasphere should check it out.
Definitely one of the better realeases this year, the whole album is up on bandcamp.
