^^ words do of course change meanings and nuances over time. 'Nice' was historically indicative of something that was deemed exact, accurate and precise etc.

"let's agree to disagree"

Why the hell should I? You'll still be wrong.

Mine too.

I've reclaimed the word, I think it's nice.

Pratchett and Gaiman used it nicely in Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch. I don't see that any other word would have served as well there, it set the tone of the novel perfectly.

My nan always used it sarcastically "That's nice dear..." when it was evidently clear to her that it was anything but nice, and I quite like that.

I want a nice cup of tea. No other word fits in that phrase to convey the exact meaning it requires - I don't want a pleasurable cup of tea, nor do I want an agreeable cup of tea or a delightful cup of tea - I want a nice cup of tea ... preferably with a nice biscuit or two

Just been reminded of some more verbal teat chafers....

Just sayin' (as if you were just the messenger of your own thoughts)
Meh (although I have used this myself)
talk to the hand
awesome
to be honest (like you were lying up till now?)
IMO (to prove you are not communicating while being held at gunpoint?)
simples
you need to move on ( i.e. I deny your reality and substitute my own)
it's a big ask (have you considered exercise and dieting?)
intrinsically (always used as a posh version of 'basically' by tertiary educated pondlife- it really means inseparable from the whole)
ciao

"My bad" is imbecilic. That, and using the word "like" as a space-saver for a sentient thought.
...a vigorous circular motion hitherto unknown to the people of this area, but destined
to take the place of the mud shark in your mythology...

'For all intents and purposes' - maybe because my boss says it frequently.

For some reason, I dislike the word 'juncture'
And those that say 'quiet good' instead of 'quite good'.............there is one.......

It's just this generation - "Generation Me". A lot of us want to tell the world how we feel.

Ouch, been using this wrong my entire life.
I only suppose it's because of things like misuse and loose slang-like diction, a word gets another meaning to it or its meaning changes. Case in point: bully.

OK, I feel like I'm taking this one to outer limits. Let's just stick with the topic.
