Hi Epignosis, I am not particularly fond of beer because it makes me feel full, however I do like Belgium beer because it has a much higher alcohol content compared to others thus I can have just a few sips and become very happy. Hihihihi I am a happy drinker I suggest you try DUVEL Belgium beer, Amstel and Heineken are both Dutch but instead I suggest you try Grolsh also another Dutch beer brand. Anyway, hugs to you |
except I don't drink beer

Good malt character and hop balance, pretty low alcohol...actually would make a nice summer beer to be honest. I'll have to try that Porter next time.

I have heard women say this a million times and it never makes sense to me. I have never heard a man say it. I wonder why that is?

Lol Thellama, maybe this is the reason why men have a beer belly and women not just saying

London Pride is very good, and I love the porter as well. Pretty much anything by Fuller's will do the trick.

Tried out Brooklyn Brewery's new stout "There Will Be Black" last night. Very good stuff. Not available much longer unfortunately.

Picked up a Sam Adams Spring Thaw pack last week at Costco. This is the most pleased I've been with everything inside. 6 varieties, including the usual Boston Lager, Alpine Spring, Irish Red, Maple Pecan Porter, White Lantern and Double Agent IPL. Lots of citrus notes in the Alpine, Lantern and DA lager. The red is smooth as can be, and the notes of maple and pecan blend so well with the chocolatey porter base.

Madison River's Copper John Scotch Ale is quite good. A properly peaty, smokey wee heavy, with lots of caramel malt. Yummy.

When I was out last night, they accidentally hooked the taps together for a Weisse and a Dunkel (can't remember which brewer), and noticed after they filled a pint, so the bartender offered it to me for free. It was surprisingly good.
Ended up fairly nutty, with little aftertaste

Not much in the way of bitter here, (at least that I recognise) so Guiness it is, followed by Newcy Brown (or a bottle of dog as it's usually referred to in these parts).

Nocturnum. Darker and tastier. I've only ever found it one place - Co-op liquor store in Airdrie, Alberta. They got 2 small shipments of it over the 4 months I lived there. I bought the entire second one
