I've never opened a Shred
I opened just one, it was the Ninth, I gave it a specific title in homage to Beethoven's Ninth, and it was enough to detach myself from you mortals and the rest of (almost) any Shred ever opened.

Belcea Quartet at the Proms now!
One of my favs. They play a mean Janacek.
Well it's Schubert's String Quintet now (they have a guest cellist) and it sounds quite good. I have a couple of coleagues who are close to Corina Belcea, makes me kick myself for never getting in touch with really valorous musicians.

Check this out Rico:
I did, that time I sent you theNinth and the Cello Concerto.
I think I have Alzheimer's.
Did you finally enjoy in any way those two I offered?
I did, especially the Cello Concerto. I need to man up and make a cuesheet to split the tracks properly so I can enjoy them more, though.
Ah, I see, the Ninth's switch between meditative-modern and catchy-baroque, plus the impeccable compositional train of thought, was what astounded me at first, but with each listen, Aho is truly complex. The Concerto is ruthless and makes me think in the 80s the Finn was mainly senzationalist.
