The Narrow Way-Ummagumma-Pink Floyd

Closet Chronicles is my favourite Kansas track Cesar!Smile

In the night see the red sky burning
There's fire on the mountain
Oil slicks on the sea
Embarrassed

Hear the roar get louder in your ears
You know the folly was your own

Hunting Girl-Jethro Tull

I close my eyes I go far away
Away from this battlefield
In my dreams well here I will enjoy it
Where innocence plays with all the laughing children
The kind who are crying right now

Can any Brits remember the correct words to the HeBeGebes piss take on Squeeze's Up The Junction, called Up The er rum.... which rhymed in quick succession:

belly, Pirelli, jelly, Lisa Minelli, telly, smelly, vermecelli?

It was a song about the amazing fertility of young man, alas with all the women he had relations with,  and also contains the line: "I precautions, I gave her a false name" - Phil Pope could write 'em. (It was broadcast on Radio 4 comedy show Radio Active).

Awake & Nervous-Tales From The Lush Attic-IQ

we're lost in the labyrinths of
what seems to be and what is real.
your old words of wisdom
though indistinct, still they are true.

Steve Hackett-Ballad of The Decomposing Man

A mother to the living
A mother to the dead
Silent as the moonlight
I come to lay my head
And I won't know you
Anymore

Yes -- "It Can Happen"

From the much-maligned (but good overall, methinks) 90210.Wink

Try this:

"Just keep me nose clean -- eggs, chips and beans

I'm always full of steam."

Yes, great thread, Gdub!Thumbs Up

Edited by Peter Rideout
"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
He chortled in his joy.

Point me at the sky - Pink Floyd (single)

So, why my heavy heart you say
When tears would stain the sights so gay
My brother's dreams once here did soar
Unitl he died at the hand of needless war

Light the fuse and stand right back
He cried This is my last good-bye.

'Apercu' by KANSAS.

"We walked along, sometimes hand in hand,
between the thin lines marking sea and sand;
smiling very peacefully,
we began to notice that we could be free,
and we moved together to the West."
