Seven and Seven Is....that's my favorite. I agree, for a cover album it is one of the best out there. Nothing wrong with being a fanboy.......I have been a fan since about '75ish. I was 11 and I saw the album cover, Fly By Night and thought...'cool cover..mom can I have $6?...' LP's back in the day were about $5.99-$6.99 @ Warehouse Records.
The rest is history as they say......

What are your thoughts on that album and Kansas in general?

This is the only Kansas album I own (aside from compilations) Embarrassed

I love it though, and will rate it with a 4 at some point Thumbs Up

Your only studio album?? Wow, I thought you already had their classics, knowing you're such a big fan on Symphonic.

If you liked Song for America to give it a 4 stars, don't hesitate to buy Leftoverture and their debut, you'll love 'em definitely.

I, persnoally, am not that fond of the band. I can clearly see that they're great musicians and all, but most of their music doesn't move me at all.

Yes, and I agree Rush's version is definitely better than Queensryche's version.  BTW, I only rated Feedback with 2 stars by PA standards, but I did rate it a 9.0 on Mike's site, meaning that I think that it is excellent.

Have you heard the Queensryche cover of the same song, Scott? Rush's is infinitely better - and I like Queensryche quite a lot.

I think that Summertime Blues is probably my favorite, since with the drums used as the chorus it seems to be the most Rush-ified of the tracks.  For What It Is Worth is really cool too.

I love the album too... I gave it three stars in my review, but might have easily rated it four. My favourite is probably their cover of "For What It's Worth", though all the songs are equally strong.
