I really don't like his attitude, but he's certainly proved me wrong about his playing ability. He still has his WTF throws at least once during a game it seems. However, he's good enough for it to not matter.
Nor do I buuuut... not liking his attitude can be said of 75% of players sadly

Yeah, I ate major crow after predicting his epic flop in the NFL. He's been impressive from the start, still ironing out the wrinkles but yeah...can't always have a Matt Ryan and Flacco. Esp for a running QB in a kinda whacky college system, really something how he's been coming.
I was dead tired, ended up falling asleep in the 3rd quarter (also assuming that New England was gunna win it anyway) so was quite shocked to see I missed quite an epic game, and apparently controversial. I've yet to see the play, will do so when I get back from work...but what I hear is general consensus that yeah..they did get screwed BUT: 1) it happens 2) lol karma for the all the good luck/calls they've had 3) it may have been a pick anyway 4) they (or gronk) still woulda needed to make something happen or as Pat and some others have said...they could've played better and not be in that spot.
Regardless, I missed something wild, and apparently Carolina is looking legit, and not just on defense!
I liked Cam his rookie year, he's been a bit young (OMG I forgot a QB can have youth struggles) but maybe he's turning a bit of a corner.

^ I'm not so sure honestly. Gronk was ridden at least 3 yards back by the time this pic was taken. If not, maybe he makes the catch of his life. It's not likely, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be called.

Yeah especially since they threw the flag and then picked it up. But that pass would have been picked anyway.

Damn. I finally tied for first place in the football picks pool but lost the tiebreaker on points. My boss and another guy had 42 points and I had 46 points. Apparently, even though we were all 2 points from the total I lose because I was over.

Man, what a game! Had a chance at the end but just couldn't get there. Too many penalties and the first half turnover were killers.
Panthers really do look great on both sides of the ball.
I'm still not completely sold on Carolina offensively, though Cam certainly has the potential. That defense however...
Still...two quality wins in two weeks.

I'm still not sold on the idea that they're not. The Broncos prior to tonight had only played one good team and got beat by them so I don't buy the strength of schedule / paper tiger thing for the Chiefs. They lost by 10 points on the road to Denver when they turned the ball over twice in the red zone. We'll see what happens when they meet again at Arrowhead.
Yeah, that was just round 1. Round 2 in a couple of weeks. I expect a close game, for sure.
BTW, the Panthers just beat the Patriots. Everyone else in the NFC look out, this team is for real. Kind of reminds me of when the Seahawks got red hot last year.

The Steelers, overall, will be fine. God forbid you have a couple of sub par years.
Well, ever since Todd Haley came on board I've heard nothing but wanting his head carried on a pike, esp this year with Pittburgh's offenseive struggles.
But now...they've turned it on and the exact same cast of players looks good suddenly!
And, they are now 4-6 with a not so bad schedule ahead. Not a good year at all, but gunna wind up OK. Certainly more than was expected after their bad start.
Maybe it was just a tad soon to be moaning about the end of the Steelers as we know it?
I was OK with Arians as well, he and Ben had a good relationship and I think that was part of Ben's slow acceptance of Haley (if he has). Ben not being the sharpest tool in the shed was/is struggling with the new offensive format or concept. I am still undecided on Haley since our O line never can get cohesive due to injuries and can get the running game going.

Stillers go from last to 2nd in the division with win over the Lions (I know, we have same record as Browns and Ravens, but have the tie breakers at the moment). At least its keeping hope alive for the season, albeit false hope.
I think the Lions were mesmerized by those hideous Steeler uniforms yesterday...
