Always drank a lot of this during west coast business trips because it didn't exist out here...and now it does! |
In the time I had my internship out in Portland, it was Deschutes all the time! Actually I just bought some Deschutes chainbreaker IPA yesterday I'll probably get Mirror Pond next time

Guinness, in part for having almost had the best slogan of all time. The brewery once paid the great Irish playwright Brendan Behan a sum of money and a few kegs of stout to come up with a slogan. After several months (and after he had drank all the beer), the directors of Guinness demanded their slogan. Behan's famous reply was:
"Guinness makes you drunk."
Unfortunately, Guinness decided against the slogan.

It's seriously awesome, just like almost all of Mikkeler's beers. Now I'm drinking Irish coffee though

oh man so it has like a peppery spiciness? oh lord, I think i need another Prilosec just from looking at it (i would love to dive into the harder stuff but that kind of beer really raises hell with my stomach....I have to stay on the slightly tamer side unless I want to risk it) I might have to take the risk on that stuff some night

The only Brewdog beer I've tried was the Punk IPA. It's not bad. Mikkeler still makes the best IPAs (fact, not opinion)

I love IPA in general. Hoppy stuff, yes please. Brewdog's Punk IPA is often great, but occasionally tastes a bit of detergent. But perhaps that's just me. But I tend to agree about Mikkeller. The unbridled creativity of most of what Mikkeler make is often enough to be perfectly honest. Noteworthy stuff.
