Thanks guys for adding the Doors. I mentioned them a while back(proto prog fits well for them). Next, do Todd Rundgren for prog related. ;)

They have some good progressive related tunes, including Astronomy, The Golden Age of Leather, Subhuman, Monsters, The Vigil, Mirrors, Black Blade, Perfect Water, plus a decent concept album in Imaginos. Also, what about Mannheim Steamroller?? They fit well in electronic or folk, somewhat similiar to Tangerene Dream in a lot of ways.
So how 'bout it????

The "rude" person meant you post it in another section and not in this thread.
This is not a thead to suggest band. It is pretty clear from the name of the thread.

Open a thread there.

Thanks

Assaf, I'm thinking either Zeuhl or psych for this one. Maybe psych would be the better option (considering the Heldon influenced second album)?

Thanks MFS I added those to the ZART list but this is not a thread to suggest bands. You have a whole section only for this purpose.

Recently added:
Lees, John in Art-Rock
Besombes, Philippe in Electronic prog. Besides him being a musician and composer he also had a recording studio in which he produced several albums for other French 70's bands such as Arachnoid.

Avestin, you should check out these bands. They are in the Secret Chiefs 3/ Estradasphere kinda music.

God of Shamisen - Sounds like Asian bluegrass metal
Fish Tank Ensemble -  This is almost exactly like Estradasphere.
ASVA - This is Trey Spruance's other band besides SC3. This is what mojo thinks about it.
MOJO MAGAZINE- Oct 2005: Epic doom metal that storms the heavens while dragging its turgid riffs from the depths of hell...
Also, check out the bands Yolk and Dudu Geva. These two bands (I think) deserve to be recongnized.

Another addition for tonight:
I added Mosaic in RIO/Avant-prog.
http://www.progarchives.com/Progressive_rock_discography_BAND.asp?band_id=2749

Highly recommended for you RIO and Avant-prog people.
There is a reissue of this album by Mio Records (not operational anymore) which has the album and the demo (Cuvee 77) and two bonus tracks all on the cd.

For those interested, it sells for !10.85$ at Big Balloon music.

Following Prog-Jester's (Igor) suggestion, the Russian band Disen Gage has been added to Art-Rock.

Two additions:

Seyo added Mihajlovic Tocak, Radomir to jazz-rock/fusion.
http://www.progarchives.com/Progressive_rock_discography_BAND.asp?band_id=2746

I added Dreams of Sanity to prog-metal (I have recommended them before in several other threads for people who want prog-metal but dislike the harsh and "violent" bands and want a softer/more accessible sound - this is for you).
http://www.progarchives.com/Progressive_rock_discography_BAND.asp?band_id=2747

Towards the end of this month and in January I will add several French bands/musicians to RIO/Avant and perhaps also to fusion.
