Yep. Did you really think the world is sane?
When one takes on the arduous task of explaining psychopathic behavior, what makes you think this stuff is logical?

No, I thought this was a thread where you can just make up stuff. Fact-checking is met with frowns from the enlightened ones.

So what? The hypocritical Christians couldn't do it but allowed the Jews to do it and used it. If somebody thinks that's a reason for persecution they have a strange concept of causality. And how the last sentence is connected to the earlier one is beyond me.

Well, the trouble is with a lot of the British media is that there are “this causes dementia”, or “that causes dementia “ stories almost every single day. I don’t take a blind bit of notice anymore. I used to drink tea by the gallon all day, at least until I started on beer in the evening. I was getting a touch of gout, though, and the doctor recommended cutting right down. So it is just one cup of tea when I wake up, a couple of coffees during the day, and water at lunch. I have not had gout since, and I have not had to cut down on having my favourite pint. I would like to blame my personal fog on tea drinking. I think, though, that it is completely unalterable by any chemicals. It just comes to me naturally!

wasn't there a study way back that possibly linked tea drinking with dementia? I remember wondering if that was more of a self selecting situation ie if you were the tea drinking type you might also be in a bit of a fog anyway

actually, while I refuse to get involved in the other discussions currently being debated on this thread, I will say you missed what is now the #1 cause of death right now in the US: COVID-19

I don't mean to derail this into another thing off-topic, but that line in there about the Sun being 3000 miles from the Earth gave me a good laugh.

I was sent a meme today by a friend. It was headlined “this is what happens when you get the vaccine”. The accompanying photo cannot be printed on a family friendly website, but basically was that of a person of the female variety whose prominent glands had morphed into two male organs.
Rather funny, actually, and certainly making a lot more sense than some of the stuff that I’ve read on the last two pages.
