Drive home, somewhere right in the center of the optimist/pessimist scale, leaning more towards realist.

Of course the drive home from work. It would be sad if one day I prefer to be anywhere else but at home, specially that anywhere being my job... (yes, this is sad too ![](smileys/smiley6.gif) ).
Mmmm... Optimistic/pessimistic.
Ergo, normal.

I take the bus to work. Using a car for a single person to move oneself around the city is not only excedingly expensive, but also mostly bad for trafic and for one's health. Since the public transportation is rather good where I live, I don't see the point of using a car to go to work.

Pretty much describes me. Plus going to work means the eastern sun is in my eyes when leaving the neighborhood.
And I'm going to say I'm generally optimistic.

The sun is always in my eyes on my commute. I once came home from work at midnight and even though the sun had set, it somehow magically bore a hole right through the earth just to shine in my eyes. ![Confused Confused](smileys/smiley5.gif) Oh, and I lean towards pessimism, although I have to say the benefits of that are that I'm rarely disappointed and occasionally pleasantly surprised.

I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

I enjoy the drive home less because the traffic is generally worse (in terms of volume and density of the vehicles and general demeanour of the other drivers), even though the destination is certainly more preferable. If the traffic is bad in the morning - whoopee! I'm going to be late and it wasn't my fault - win-win.
I am, in all things, more of a pessimist than an optimist - I'd like to be an optimist but can't abide being disappointed all the time so it's never going to work for me.

Option #4 just above #2, usually.

I'm asking if you prefer your commute going from your house to your work or your commute going from work to your house. Then I'm asking if you would say that you are an optimist or a pessimist.

Even though I like my job, I like going home better except when it's early on a slow day. Oddly enough a good chunk of the commute in the middle isn't along the same route because if I used the one way access road in the mornings, well...

Took me a while to get the question. ![LOL LOL](smileys/smiley36.gif) Drive from school, realist (voted pessimist, it's the closest option ![Wink Wink](smileys/smiley2.gif) ).

OH I get this now.
Can't change my vote....but option 3 for sure. Even if it was a job that was fine, it's just nice to be going home. Either because I'm tired, or bored, or just am glad to be going home. Optimistic though. Try to keep a good mindset about going to work, so I usually feel fine.
My latest job was 2-10 and later 4-12 so I never had to deal with traffic going either way. Especially going home at night, the roads are nice and clear.
