In The Garden is an anomaly in the Eurythmics discography and features Clem Burke of Blondie, Holger Czukay and Markus Stockhausen (son of Karlheinz).
 
As Karl says, half the artsy bands in the 80s were Krautrock (and specifically Can) influenced and the first Eurythmics album is no exception, however only one track is stand-out Krautrock influenced, and that was a B-Side.
 
I don't think being influenced by Kraut is enough in the case of the Eurythmics - In The Garden is a great album and far better from my perspective than anything they ever did after, but it's no more Prog related than any of their later albums.
 
 
 
Probably the most "famous" track from the album (featuring a familiar face on French Horn):
 
it also features the best track Stewart and Lenox ever recorded IMO:

Roughly half of the 'artsy' 80s bands were influenced by Kraut but none of them is in any way Prog or related.

Well, at least not until we lift the lid of that can Big smile

Just when I though nothing can surprise me. I'm tolerant guy by nature, but Eurythmics ? No way.
There's a point where "avant-garde" and "experimental" becomes "terrible" and "pointless,"

I know I might get some heat for suggesting them though using  the search I was surprised they were not before.  The reason I am suggesting them is because their first album In The Garden, tends to have a bit more krautrock, psychadelic feel to it than their later more commercial works and was produced by legendary Krautrock producer Conny Plank and featured contributions from Holger Czukay and Jaki Liebezeit of Can.
