Hello!
Firstly i'd like to say how great it is that PA is so receptive to new prog, independent prog bands trying to 'get out there more'. I had a great experience with DamoXt7942 who accepted us onto PA and the space rock section with our first EP release least year http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=5404, who purchased the EP and then even reviewed it! Was great seeing as i've been a long time browser of this website and have discovered many of my faviourite bands on here. Anyway. If anyone is interested in taking a look at our new release, and perhaps adding it to the archives , please read on!
We've just (digitally) released our second EP, titled 'Into the Eyes of Those Who Sleep' idependently via CDBABY (http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/ovals2). Influences include Pink Floyd, Radiohead, CAN and Tool. We are releasing the physical digipak cd on March 25 in Melbourne, Australia and then touring major australian cities. Reviews/online pumps for the EP have already been surfacing on Sounds of Oz (http://www.soundsofoz.com/2011/02/28/into-the-eyes-of-those-who-sleep-the-ovals/), Scattered Locality (http://scatteredlocality.com/2011/02/24/play-school-windows-have-nothing-on-this/), a major australian music website called Tone Deaf (http://www.tonedeaf.com.au/photos/slideshows/59657/hot-australian-artists-2011-part-2.htm/5), and The AU Review (http://www.theaureview.com/music/free-music-the-ovals-into-the-eyes-of-those-that-sleep-full-ep).
Website: www.myspace.com/theovals
Facebook: www.facebook.com/theovals
Any of the above three websites has full songs to stream, the last has the full EP. The bio/info on our PA page is quite old too.
Many thanks! Edited by sidereal - May 25 2011 at 03:40 |
