Hmmm! Sounds very promising. I've actually been tiring of PT in the last few years. I didn't even get FOABP until after The Incident was released. I'm still not impressed with most of Incident. Though I was listening to Deadwing today and liked it quite a bit.
Interesting his comment about metal. I am also tiring of metal sounds in prog being the only way latter-day bands seem to be able to be "heavy". I look forward to some non-metal heavy from Mr. Wilson! Frank |

Update: The website now has the tracklisting and audio samples. I have to say it sounds absolutely amazing. I can't wait!
Oh and you can listen to an entire track from the album here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DevSBj_iF4A One more thing I found out: According to Steven's Facebook post, Steve Hackett from Genesis is playing guitar on the album including the song I posted above! Also, Gavin Harrison is not featured on the album. Instead, Nic France is handling drum duties. Just thought you might want to know! Edited by adace1 - July 19 2011 at 18:12 |

"Grace For Drowning" will be out in the fall. No tracklisting or artwork yet but you can head over to this site to view a promo clip. It looks like this is going to be one dark record.

Cool new update from Steven Wilson's facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Steven-Wilson-Official-page/114657261887878
The new solo album website will probably launch in early June now. The music is done, but we're still working on film material and the deluxe edition. It's presented as two 40-45 minute albums in the same package (which begs the question; when is a double album not a double album? When it's 2 single albums issued together!) The album titles are "Deform to Form a Star" and "Like Dust I Have Cleared From My Eye". |

That's actually probably the most logical explanation I've ever seen. That, or Steven is the second coming. |

I really got into Insurgentes about a year and a half after I got it. When it first came out, I couldn't get into it as much, probably expecting more PT, but I've broadened my horizons! And yes, it's a great album!

Harmony Korine is the most played song in my entire library. By a long shot. 138 plays since the day the album came out. It really is a great album.

^^ Too bad. You are missing out on a great album.
Will be in line to pre-order any special edition he can come up with. |
