I have a distant relative with her own radiostation whose banning all music from artists who has visited or played in one specific pub/cafe in her village. With the hand on the Bible, she deems it as inappropriate for a Christian person to visit, let alone do gigs in that cafe/pub.

I also once got a phone call from another radio station informing me that my artists was banned from that radiostation due to their very remote association with bands who they (wrongfully) accused being promoters of Hitlers and other racist motivated genocides. I visited the radio station to collect the CDs and found pictures of Mao, Josef Stalin and Pol Pot on their walls. This was in the mid 1990s, well after the revelations of various genocides.

I just read that some Canadian radio stations are beginning to stop playing Dire Straits "Money for Nothing" because of use of "fa****" in the song.

I've heard radio stations edit "good goody good bullsh*t" from PF Money.

*sigh*

Don't cum in me being edited out of the original We're Only In It For The Money, not being edited out for the first Rykodisc version.  Getting edited out again for the remaster.  Harry, you're a beast.
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

I just heard on the radio a version of Steppenwolf's "The Pusher" with all the "god damn"s edited out.

Beat that.
