Why?

That's preposterous. I can see why one wouldn't enjoy Queen's music, but questioning their musical talents is silly. Very few bands would be able to convincingly perform a song like Bohemian Rhapsody. Not to mention that as songwriters, Genesis without Peter Gabriel were vastly inferior to Queen. And I say that despite potentially preferring Trick over any Queen album.

They never threw their talents out the window. But when the songs you
write become less complex (a good decision considering disasters like
"One for the Vine"), doesn't it make sense to simplify your playing?
Instrumental skills are fine and all, but they mean nothing if you don't
have good songs.

Now that's just not true.

I seriously doubt the guys in Queen wished they made something like W&W instead of A Night At The Opera and other assorted iconic rock & pop tunes.
Musically, skillwise, Queen are probably the stronger band...certainly vocally.

I didn't realize we were arguing. We simply are in disagreement, which happens all the time.

They did not sell out! They just wanted to make pop! I know it's your opinion and I respect that, but I just want to rip you to f**king shreds!

Well, maybe they did, maybe they didn't want to make "pop" albums. I find them all terribly disturbed to throw their talents out the window. Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford have said many times before that all three of them wanted to move on to pop. I mean, some of their popiest songs are written by them! And what the hell is so wrong with them going pop? They made some of the best pop music of all time!

And Queen may not've been as good as Genesis, but lacked musical skills and intellect? What the f**k is wrong with you? I know it's you're opinion, but you're making me so f**king mad!

Post Gabriel Genesis. I love what they did after he left. Some good prog and some of the best pop music ever. I don't like Queen nearly as much

Considering I hate Queen, I love early Collins Genesis (A Trick of the Tail, Wind & Wuthering), this was a no-brainer. I mean Wind & Wuthering is one of my favorite albums of all-time. Like I'm going to pick a band like Queen over Genesis. I DON'T THINK SO!!!

Queen, no matter Gabriel- or post-Gabriel Genesis.

Genesis. They still had some good stuff post-Gabriel and even though Queen have done some good things, I don't like them as much as Genesis.

Queen. Trick of The Tail and W&W are good, but all the other album cannot be compared from Queen.

Queen rules compared to post-Hackett Genesis. But I find Trick and Wind to be very excellent albums and millions times better then any album after that. So if those 2 were not counted Queen, if those 2 were all we were counting, well its close. I didn't vote.

Queen by a mile. They surpassed everything post-Gabriel Genesis attempted to do.
Gay pop songs? Queen dominates. Prog-influenced Rock? Queen dominates. Flamboyant frontman? Please, you can't get more flamboyant than Freddy in cut off jeans.
