What half of the people on this site were you on again?
Anyway, this idea sounds good. I can't say I'm a fan of DT, though I'm not familiar with Portnoy, but a project with such big names will at least be interesting. Therefore I'm quite excited to see the result. |
The half of which detest Dream Theater. Except I'm not afraid to say that they're sh*t without getting my panties in a knot about freedom of speech and ethics.

Tempting prospect but Wilson has been talking about this for almost 10 years now so let's wait and see and wait and see and wait a bit more

Uh, imagine that! I guess this line-up would be way successful than for an example Transatlantic, although I don't wanna underestimate Roine, Neal and Pete (didn't mention Portnoy, as we have him involved in this one), but having Akerfeldt, Wilson, Duda and Portnoy in the same band = a real blast.

I am wondering what kind of music they will play...
A millionth uninspired prog metal album or something blending pop, space-rock, post-rock, extreme metal and some electronica ?
Mr Duda proved he can go beyond the boundaries of prog with lunatic soul...

That's true, but apparently he won't join until the music is already written

Portnoy is a flawless drummer. I think he's perfect. |
He has an annoying snare sound

Oh he is good, just not very creative. There are many more interesting drummers.

I think Portnoy could ruin this project. Even though not in the running, Danny Carey would prove much more interesting from a drumming perspective.
