It's not fully independent...some cases are still being done by the Danish government.

Yea, it was it's own country but technically a part of Denmark. However, today it is fully and officially independent.
One step closer to global popular sovereignty! Eventually no one will have to live under another countries borders, (or jurisdiction) except their own!
OK, I'm semi joking with all this but honestly, congrats Greenland!

As of, today, Greenland is now officially and independent country! Free from the rule of Denmark.
The least densely populated country in the world just means it has a lot of space to grow!
